Sports APIs Are the Real Web2 Onboarding Layer Mainstream sport will not enter Web3 through wallets, chain IDs, or protocol jargon. Clubs, leagues, brands, and service partners need something simpler: clean access to data, records, permissions, storage, payments, dashboards and reports. APIs are where blockchain stops feeling like a product and starts working like infrastructure. With EVM-compatible execution, interoperability and a dedicated storage layer, atleta.network gives builders a sports-first base for connecting real workflows without rebuilding every system from zero. Adoption begins when Web2 can plug in and keep working

The longer I watch DeFi evolve, the more I realize that full transparency is not always enough. When anyone can see the size of a trade, the direction of capital, and a wallet’s entire history, openness can start working against the user. That is why the approach taken by @GalaxySwapLabs feels logical. It is not about hiding everything. It is about giving users control over which data remains public. A transaction can still be verifiable without revealing the entire strategy behind it. In my opinion, this balance between transparency and privacy is exactly what the next stage of DeFi needs.

gmum friends I’ve been following @get_optimum for quite some time and have already written a lot about its approach to data propagation. Still, the new @blocmates article was a useful read because it brought the technology, validator economics and broader impact of @get_optimum together in one place. 🔲The main problem is simple: Ethereum still uses Gossipsub, where the same data can be sent across the network multiple times. This creates redundant traffic, consumes bandwidth and adds latency. @get_optimum approaches this differently through RLNC and mump2p. Data is divided into coded shards, allowing nodes to reconstruct the original message from enough unique pieces. A few points stood out to me: ▪️faster and more consistent block propagation ▪️lower bandwidth usage ▪️more accurate validator attestations ▪️more time for proposers to evaluate MEV bids ▪️better scalability without changing consensus The validator side is especially important. Even a small latency improvement can provide more usable slot time, reduce missed opportunities and improve reward consistency. The article compares @get_optimum to an Autobahn for blockchain data and I think that analogy explains the idea well. Faster execution alone cannot solve every bottleneck. The network also needs a better way to move data. Worth reading if you want a clear overview of what @get_optimum is building.

gmum everyone For me, the most important part of @get_optimum new MEV research is what it says about time. MEV is often discussed as if missed value simply moves from one slot to the next. @get_optimum data shows that some opportunities exist only for a few hundred milliseconds. When a proposer commits too early, that opportunity may disappear instead of waiting for the following slot. Across 33,137 Ethereum slots, this happened in roughly 10% of cases. The value that was never recovered equaled one sixth of the total accepted bid value. 🔲This changes how I look at propagation speed. Every extra millisecond gives a proposer more time to see a better bid. At the same time, the selected block still needs enough time to reach the network before the deadline. mump2p works directly on that constraint. By moving blocks faster and more consistently, @get_optimum can give proposers a wider safe window for bid selection. That creates more usable time inside each slot and helps the market capture opportunities that early cutoffs can leave behind. ▫️For validators, that can mean more revenue. ▫️For Ethereum, it can mean a more efficient blockspace market. In the MEV market, @get_optimum Speed is Money thesis becomes literal: speed can determine whether value is captured at all. 🔲On July 30 @MurielMedard will be at Stanford for Flashbots’ MEV Workshop during SBC ’26. She will present @get_optimum fast propagation technology and discuss its value for different blockspace participants. This will be a chance to hear directly from @get_optimum CEO and cofounder about where faster propagation fits into the MEV market.

What makes infrastructure valuable is that it doesn't force developers to rebuild everything from scratch. That's one reason Optimum stands out. Instead of introducing another execution environment or another consensus mechanism, @get_optimum is designed to complement existing blockchain ecosystems. It acts as an infrastructure layer that strengthens the network itself. This approach has several advantages. Existing chains keep their own: • Consensus Virtual machine • Security model • Ecosystem • Developer tools Meanwhile, Optimum improves how nodes exchange data behind the scenes. This separation matters because blockchain performance isn't determined by execution alone. Every block, transaction, and state update must travel across a distributed network before the system can fully benefit from faster execution. If networking falls behind, execution improvements eventually hit diminishing returns. That's why optimizing communication is becoming just as important as optimizing computation. As blockchain adoption continues to grow, the industry will need infrastructure capable of supporting larger validator sets, more users, and increasing transaction volumes. Scaling compute is important. Scaling communication may be even more important.

I've noticed something about blockchain infrastructure. You rarely appreciate it when it's there. You only notice it when it's missing. That's probably why projects like @CNPYNetwork don't get talked about as much as the applications built on top of them. But without good infrastructure, those applications never get very far. Sometimes the most important layer is the one users never see.
Canopy@CNPYNetwork

Every chain on Canopy starts small. It graduates into a fully sovereign L1 once it hits its CNPY threshold. You help decide which ones make it. Back the chains you believe in with CNPY and push them over the line 🌿 testnet.app.canopynetwork.org

I'm backing Oil this week. The market seems pretty quick to price out geopolitical risk every time headlines calm down. But the Middle East is still unpredictable, and it doesn't take much to put a risk premium back into crude. Then there's the Fed. Everyone is focused on Bitcoin and Gold, but oil has another layer to it. Any surprise in today's decision or a more hawkish tone could reshape inflation expectations, and energy is usually one of the first places the market looks. Markets are also watching whether the Fed holds rates or surprises with a hike, making this one of the most closely watched meetings in months. BTC is still trading like a rate-sensitive risk asset around the Fed, while Gold has already started giving back some of its safe-haven premium as tensions eased. Oil feels like the asset with the most room to surprise. That's my pick. Let's see who's right by the end of the week
XO Market@xomarket

Which pumps hardest this week: Bitcoin, Oil or Gold? Gold and crude are pulling back as US-Iran tensions cool, and Bitcoin has slipped to around $64k, giving back its early-week bounce. Then the Fed meeting Today, where a rate hike is actually on the table this time. That would move all three. Which asset are you backing for this week?
