btw, Railway is awesome and I am a heavy user. Just google cloud is annoying

Railway was down for ~3 hours today and my app went down with it 😅 I only have 24 users right now, but some are paid users, so it still feels pretty painful when the service is offline. Still early stage — no proper backups, failover, or disaster recovery setup yet. Curious how other indie hackers / SaaS founders handle infra outages like this?

@jackfriks @postbridge_ same here. Our service was down for 3 hours. Have to consider the solution of disaster recovery even in early stage of the product.

apologies to all @postbridge_ customers, i am still not self hosted so this outage currently means post bridge posts are also stuck in queue as the API is hosted on railway and only railway right now waiting on repair for now, but this tale is getting old sadly

@pcshipp I kind of having the similar problem but I have 20 signup, 1 paid users - $19 MRR. but I have not officially launch until recently.

I honestly feel ashamed to share my app stats. I’m feeling like shutting down the app - $6 MRR - $8 total revenue - 2,085 new users I’ve tried everything, but most users just want free access

Tiny TikTok experiment from today: I posted two similar videos through UniPost. One had a raw caption: “hello 迪士尼。” → 108 views One had an AI-optimized caption with clearer context + hashtags: → 1.8k views Sample size is tiny, so this is not a conclusion. But it’s an interesting signal: captions may give the algorithm much more context to work with.

Two weeks ago, I submitted the API application to Meta and still waiting. It should be soon. Once meta and Pinterest approved, we support all of the 9 platforms. Next platform I am planning to support Reddit. Yesterday I got my first paid users. Today I saw the user's app actively using it to publish video to YouTube.
