I didn't read much romance. I read a metric ton of mystery (mostly mediocre) and fantasy (mostly excellent).
I reread enough Laura Kinsale, Cecilia Grant, and Joanna Bourne to fuel a month long sulk about craft.
I read so much fanfic, but that's a different post.
I'm attempting to do a Favorites Books of 2020 post and it just isn't going to happen. My reading has been erratic, chaotic, and very weird. I reread certain books like they were holy texts. I DNF'd books I really ought to love. I binge read books I didn't even like.
tfw you come across a fanfic that is so utterly and exhaustively well-researched that it kind of makes you, the research-happy That Person, go "damn" in a good way
like, this is remarkable work and I am deeply impressed
INFO SOUGHT... There's this sandwich I've dreamed about since I was in my 20s. It was sold out of a food cart outside Filene's Basement in Downtown Crossing in Boston. It was South American -- Chilean, Peruvian, Argentinian? (Cnt)
@AskLiberty Really, really terrible service. Two hours in a rep promised me a callback - and nothing. We've been Liberty Mutual customers for years, but will be taking all of our accounts elsewhere.
@AskLiberty Punctured a tire on 91 North in CT yesterday afternoon. Called LM Roadside Assistance immediately and were promised a truck within the hour. No truck. THREE hours later we called a tow ourselves, and got help in 20 mins. We paid LM for tow, and need a refund. How?
@LibertyMutual Lost a tire on 91 North in CT. Called Liberty Mutual immediately and they promised a truck within the hour. Instead, we were left stranded for THREE hours without so much as a call. We've been customers for years but are rethinking our loyalties… Pathetic.
