@Ravenismeee I'm a Colorado native. Here, I can smell rain 3-4 hours beforehand; snow at about 12 hours. Not as effective in Oregon and completely ineffective in Hawaii.

@Ravenismeee It’s more of a prairie thing. Open ground reacts better to pressure changes. Also, prairie thunderstorm conditions produce more dramatic changes as they build than in mountain or coastal regions. But yeah, my gramma too!

@rozpersian There’s also straw from grain crops - many from heavily fertilized fields that do not replenish plant material to the soil anyway

Can someone explain to me like I’m 5 why we don’t just make paper/toilet paper/wipes etc out of bamboo in order to tackle deforestation? It grows so fast almost constantly and easy to plant
