My experience of taxis in Dublin is Irish drivers won't put a family of five into an ordinary car ,others will do it no problem.

He says he’s a taxi driver but shouldn’t he know that it is €5.40 starting off from 8pm - 8am Monday to Saturday and it’s €4.40 during 8am - 8pm, it hasn’t been €4.80 for over a year and a half.
