The woke-ideologies which one would think is to be uniquely American-college trend can be found taking root in tiny European towns. The language/social barrier isn't real. We all consume the same, we all think the same. Hivemind is already here, we just don't recognize it as such

I have friends who are parents in the US, Europe and India. It seems like all their children consume the same memes, they all know about the same kiddy trends. It seems like no matter where you live, you're basically raising your kid on the global internet.

@boilerjacket It's not semantics. There is a real difference between talent and athleticism. You can be a tremendous athlete and not talented at soccer (or any skill sport) because they demand more than just measurable.
Freeman is a tremendous athlete that's also a talented soccer player.

Well, here's your answer, and it's pretty darn good one. Alex had a rougher game against Belgium, but overall he's a bolt from the blue. Proved his class at the highest level.

@boutros555 That sounds like semantics. Of course athletics has much to do with genetic stock, but look at the fall off in athletic ability of numerous offspring from notable athletes who tried the same sport. Put another way, I guess, how do you differentiate between talent and athleticism?

I see a lot of complaints about the alleged TSwift/Kelce wedding at MSG in several different categories. 1) Taste: I’m still not convinced it’s not a head fake or they’re already married and this is the party. But they have the funds to make even MSG look like an art deco solarium for a night. 2) Disruption: MSG has a major event like every day. This is a great place for a major event for many logistical and security reasons and shouldn’t be judged for disruption any more harshly than any other event. 3) July 4 narcissism or something? July 4th is a great anniversary if you love America, and everyone wants to have a party that day anyway and has days off work.
