I'm of the opinion that the Orthodox Church needs to reach more women not just for the sake of men finding wives, but of saving the souls of an entire generation of women who feel lost in a life of quiet desperation.

@Romanos911 I just feel like it's not a household that always leads to the best outcomes for the children. Why would these people judge men who genuinely just want to do what's best for their future family?

@dsaorthocaucus Idk, you're allowed to want what you want. Some guys want an Orthodox wife, you can't fault them for that. What happened to "the heart wants what the heart wants"? This doesn't apply to men as well?

Life pro tip. Not enough people talk about this. The secret to having a "fulfilling" life is doing new things. Radically doing new things. Consistently. Every day. New activities, people, goals, even something as simple as trying new foods. Life feels longer when you're a kid because every day is packed with almost infinite amount of new learning. As you get older, you've already acclimated to your environment, the new inputs stop, so your perception of time speeds up drastically. You fall into routine, which is a time accelerant. If you want to feel like you have a long infinite lifespan, like you did as a child, you MUST be having new experiences, which slows time down.

@bitcloud I actually can do ok storyboards, like one of the things I'm actually not half bad at. Does this mean I can start animating things with ai? 🤔

I just got another comment like this which brings to mind @MeinGottNiles latest post about his process of AI animation. These posts always make me laugh because it insinuates that Directing, Editing, Storyboarding, Writing, etc. are not talents; Scorsese didn't have talent because he didn't sculpt every element of the film by himself and *only* directed. Editors in post-production who cut the film together are not talented because they are *only* editing. Paul Schrader did not have talent because he *only* wrote the screenplay of Taxi Driver. All of these skills and talents are still required to make a quality AI animated film, and all are usually done by a single person. The person commenting is claiming I am not using my talents anymore because I didn't animate every single frame of this animation by hand - which I am capable of and have done for 20 years. But these people never seem to understand that the 55 minutes of Will Stancil Show animation that I've done in 4 months would traditionally have taken me nearly 4 years, lmao. As I always say, Independent Animators are the only artists who are expected to do the jobs of hundreds of people. And when one finds an incredible tool that radically shortens the back-breaking labor while still allowing one to have full creative control (the equivalent of getting a studio of Korean animators) they then claim you are not an artist, or your new films do not require talent. Really the only way to rationalize how someone could make such an absurd conclusion as this is that a) they never have seriously attempted to animate or make a film in their life and b) they have <90 IQ.

@syd_bee3 Yeah, I have no clue. I think it's just the sort of thing you have to pray about and also it helps to volunteer for Church related events if there are any. There's no manual for these things unfortunately.

@thaddeusthought A lot of the times I think I've offended someone and the more likely truth is they literally don't think about me. Half of our problems are an extension of our ego, but the demons feed on that.

@p5ncfe That's a relief. As long as he's out there doing high kicks and loving life that's all we need to know.

@ZealousSeraphim I know you probably won't agree, but I think it's just that things are changing. I think the right or wrong direction isn't necessarily a useful metric at the moment. Things are getting both worse and better, it depends on where you look.

@relscd I mean I am assuming you made eye contact then. I guess that's not fair though, you can return to the same state as before later in life.

It's indicative of the mood that of those under 45 I speak with about the Israel-Iran war, 95% don't care if Iran wins, they just want to see Israel lose.
