Whatever you believe about whether Swalwell sexually assaulted anyone, it is looking increasingly like he frequently cheated on his wife and engaged in an inappropriate amount of drinking around staffers. That type of behavior is not compatible with any serious elected office, in my opinion.
As Democrats, we need to sit down and discuss why so many men in American politics behave like this, and why, with that in mind, we think that being a female politician is less electorally appealing. What is it about men that act this way that makes them charismatic to voters? What is it about women, in general, that does not?
Whichever way these accusations go, the fact remains that female politicians cannot act this way, and never have acted this way, and yet, their very integrity somehow makes them less compelling to the media, their colleagues, donors, and voters. What does this say about us as a society? Nothing good, I'm sure.

@estherzelda0514 It’s not just men in politics, it’s men in every single vocation.

@Afinetheorem Sadly, huge wildfire risk. It might be hard to get home insurance in that location.

@TizzyEnt In my personal experience, Hollywood Division is the LAZIEST group of cops in the whole LAPD. Yes, they do not want to take reports, they do not want to do investigations, they want everything wrapped up in a nice package that can go directly to the CA so they can go eat FroYo.

@JustTheTweets17 You voted for a convicted felon and adjudicated rapist. You are an enabler. A co-predator.

I feel a deep sadness. So many of us worked very hard to get Trump back in office. We believed he would put America First and no new wars would be started.
What we have seen this term is the opposite of what we voted for, understand it is not MAGA that has changed, it is Trump.
Trump was a vessel to achieve the goal, he has failed the mission and it is time he leave the office.

@missmayn We get a lot of big fish coming from little ponds. They come to LA and find that they’re wee fish. Then they blame the city for their lack of success. No place is perfect.

@hanoiASIA Transplants treat the born-and-raised locals, who are mostly Latino, as if they are bit actors in their daily life. When I told some transplant friends that the character and culture of LA is Latino, they looked at me with the most blank expression.

@theasscat I’ve been going to protests twice a month since February 2025.

Jake Paul explains why you shouldn’t live in LA “I’ve been in dark places as a kid. It’s like the Disney star crash out, money, bad people around you, parties, girls... it’s a cycle out there” “My biggest advice is don’t live in LA and go into that ecosystem. No matter who you are, you get looped into it and end up unhappy and most likely addicted to a bunch of stuff” “It’s a sad thing, chasing validation. ‘I met this person at this party, I wanna be famous, I took a photo with him’… it’s just a dead end”

@ZiadJimmy96 @intelFromBrian I agree. Sustained civil disobedience and a sustained general strike would be better options.

@bonafidejohnson @intelFromBrian Might as well be screaming in their pillows. Without real action, these are meaningless.

@Jackkk Live in LA and don't participate in that system. Duh. No one is forcing you to party.

@kpottermn Maybe this will finally get Americans in the streets. All they care about are vacations and sports.
