Hot take: the next 100M crypto users won't come from a crypto app. They'll come from a game, a music platform, or a creator tool that happens to use a blockchain for ownership. The entry point won't be "buy crypto first."

@aave V3 is sitting at roughly $38.6 billion in TVL right now across Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Avalanche and several other chains. It also issues its own stablecoin, GHO. Aave V4 is in governance discussion. This is what a mature DeFi protocol looks like.

On-chain reputation is an underbuilt primitive. Your wallet history is a better CV than LinkedIn for a lot of roles. Who you funded. What you built. When you showed up. Projects like Gitcoin Passport and Orange Protocol are early. The use case is real.

Account abstraction is the thing that will finally bring the next million users into web3. No more seed phrases, social recovery, batch transactions. The UX problem is getting solved quietly and most people are not watching.

the next big onboarding unlock is probably account abstraction + session keys. sign once, use a dapp for hours without re-approving every tx, that UX gap is what's keeping casuals out rn

Honestly, if we see a strong comeback of @solana with memes pumping again, then @MeteoraAG could be a very good protocol to follow, as it already showed strong performance during the last cycle
ProcessMusicHer@processmusicher

Gem of the week. @MeteoraAG on Solana. $964M TVL, top 10 DeFi protocol on the chain, Dynamic Liquidity Market Maker model, no token yet. Season 3 of the points program ends May 25. Coinbase Ventures is in.

today, the most important metric nobody tracks: daily active addresses that have been active for 6+ consecutive months. that's your real retention number. most projects don't publish it for a reason

Most airdrop hunters are optimizing for wallet quantity and task volume. But @HyperliquidX, @LayerZero_Core and @MeteoraAG all moved toward rewarding genuine usage over farming behavior in their distributions. The game got more honest. That is good news!

@DailyStoryFr Yes, right now we’ve got strong progress on backend topics, but we’re still really weak on frontend.

hot take: the next 10x in DeFi won't come from a new primitive. it'll come from someone packaging existing primitives so well that a non-crypto person can actually use them, the tech is there, the UX isn't.

for me, the best performing web3 teams rn all have one thing in common: they treat their protocol like a product company, not a token company. It is a small distinction BUT a massive execution difference!

@SagaOfWeb3 It needs to be user-focused, built for developers, and designed with a global vision of market needs in mind.

The chains that win this cycle won't have the most TPS. They'll have the best developer experience and the clearest path to users who aren't already in crypto. Speed is table stakes now.

@base (coinbase's L2) onboarded more new wallet addresses in Q1 2026 than most chains have ever seen total. that's what happens when distribution is the moat, not the tech.

when you think about it, @HyperliquidX did something rare: built a perp dex with real volume, no VC money, no pre-mine drama, and shipped the product before the narrative. the order of operations is the lesson!

@ObviousInvest yep, but they still need at the very beginning to be there to show that they want to have feedback from the early users!

Something i noticed: the best web3 founders spend almost no time on CT they're building. The accounts with 50k followers updating every 2 hours? Usually the weakest product not always. But enough to be a pattern

@SagaOfWeb3 Especially farming, it’s time-consuming and costly. Personally, I now stick to just 2–3 projects per year, both in terms of investment and farming. And I need solid proof on the team side, revenue side, etc.

Stop farming everything blindly. Pick 3 protocols you actually believe in, use them like a real user, and qualify naturally. Protocols can tell the difference. The allocation reflects it.

so, @base is processing more txs than ethereum mainnet most days now. nobody's talking about that bc there's no token to speculate on. that's actually the point

The strongest moat in crypto isn't tech, it's community! Tech gets forked, community doesn't.

@bookchroniclefr exactly, we must be focus on the user, not telling that we are builder in the web3 ecosystem. User don't care at all

The next 100M web3 users won't know they're using web3. That's not a failure, that's the whole point of good infra!
