I'm officially joining @mastra as a intern today.
Looking forward to working with the team, gaining lots of experience from a talented team, and having a lot of fun.

Build Durable Agents That Run for Days with Mastra x.com/i/broadcasts/1…
English

It’s so absurd, I remember looking into it.
Basically groceries are generally VAT exempt because food is an essential need
And buying a cold sandwich, salad, etc. to take away is legally treated like buying groceries from a supermarket
If the food or hot, or you sit in, it’s classified as catering, so you pay 20% tax
You do pay VAT on unhealthy foods like crisps and chocolate in the supermarket, so you pay it in Pret too, whether you eat in or take away. But, funnily enough, not on a chocolate croissant… unless they heat it up… in which case they should technically charge the tax. 😅
Pret is responsible for collecting the tax, but in practice, that just means asking whether you’re taking out. I’ve never heard of anyone being told off for saying “takeaway” and then sitting down in a chain. I could see an owner-run business caring more because they’re more sensitive to HMRC but never seen them complain either.

Now your agent can score. Unlike England.
Sam Bhagwat@calcsam
Starting today you can give your Mastra agent a goal Each loop iteration gives you a goal chunk containing status, score, and reason:

@mastra hear me out, give @trydemoboy a chance and i promise you won’t regret it!!
annie@annunjaya
X, do your magic. we are looking for teams to work with and test @trydemoboy on real products. if this seems interesting comment or send us a DM or email us. p.s. we are going to all of it for free so if it works you got to replace ‘book a demo’ for free and if it doesn’t well, it was free anyway :) watch the whole video to know how demoboy works and how it could benefit you and your team

I’m joining @OpenAI to help build the Codex app!
I’ve been using Codex all day, every day for months. It’s where I write every line of code I ship and get just about everything else done.
Can’t wait to help shape what comes next.

@bookercodes Will file-based agents work with embedded mode deployment? e.g embedded in nextjs app etc ?
English

@hemaaanth @gakonst @edwardahn9 @mastra This is the candid and open feedback we yearn for at Mastra!
I know it wasn't aimed at us, but I wanted you to know we saw it and really appreciate it!

honestly, can't rave about it enough. we've trid flue, kortix, sim, even, and a few others, and i'm a big mastra fan.
- they ship fast, our agents level up every time we update versions
- basically everything is OOB: memory, sandboxes, durable agents, schedules/heartbeats, rag pipelines
- very easy to extend what isn't ^
- portable to the skills, etc. that local CLIs like claude code, etc. use, - a lot of legacy tooling is drop-in usable
the parts that peeves me:
- some of that OOB functionality is pretty lightweight, so it gets you going fast but you can hit a wall quickly. we've had to extend the memory model to allow for multiple scopes like user, chat thread, company, channel, etc. also wrote our own slack channel from scratch for added functionality.
- durability specifically is a bit of an afterthought/beta feature. another thing we've had to hand roll, and probably the most brittle part of our setup
- secrets are nowhere near as well-thought-out as centaur. we ported your iron proxy implementation over which was a bit of a pain

@hemaaanth @edwardahn9 @mastra thank you - will do! can you share your thoughts on mastra, and things you think it hits its limits on?
