🚨 Are parents just not teaching their kids basic manners anymore? Currently on the Tube with a youth that was blasting his phone full volume. I politely asked him to turn it down because it’s disrespectful to other passengers and the look on his face was pure confusion. He’d clearly never been told before. Seriously, what are the parents doing? My Mum or Nan would’ve given me a clip round the ear for behaving like that on public transport. To his credit, he did then turn it down. Have people just given up teaching their kids how to behave in public?

You can offer them a platinum private toilet just for them. A private throne. It won’t matter. They will refuse. This has never been about safety. It’s all a con. They are lying when they say it is. Grant them the safest, most private alternative and they won’t use it. This is about forcing themselves into someone else’s space. Not about getting a space for themselves. Just ask. You’ll see. Offer them their own space at considerable money and see the response. Try it.

Perhaps @MayorofLondon should embark on one of his advertising blitzes, this one with message that all men, including trans-claiming men, are welcome in the Gents. "Pee next to me; I won't mind". Other mayors, Andy Burnham whilst he remains in post, should do the same. Sorted.
