I believe everything happens for a reason, and I’m eternally grateful for the path I was guided toward. Looking back, I honestly can’t think of anything worse for me personally than spending my life as an executive at a bank. What once felt like a setback became a blessing. That path ultimately led me to Bitcoin and in my opinion, very much guided. I spent more than a decade and a half as the CEO of a regulated investment bank, and I’m deeply grateful for that experience and for eventually selling part of that business to Coinbase. But what I value most now is freedom. The freedom to speak openly. The freedom to continue the work I started decades ago: Understanding the monetary system, Exposing how it actually operates, …and helping people position themselves ahead of it rather than becoming victims of it. That mission matters more to me than status, titles or institutional approval ever could.

Quick heads up: if you've been paying attention to the debt headlines this week, tomorrow's Informationist is for you. Titled "How America Becomes a Banana Republic," it walks through where the country actually stands, the old playbook the new Treasury and Fed are about to try, and the iceberg the headlines aren't showing. Drops at 5am PT, as always. Enjoy. And have a great night.

While the surviving IRGC Leaders are trapped like drowning rats in a sewage pipe, Iran’s creaking oil industry is starting to shut in production thanks to the U.S. BLOCKADE. Pumping will soon collapse. GASOLINE SHORTAGES IN IRAN NEXT!
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent@SecScottBessent

Doing business with sanctioned Iranian airlines risks exposure to U.S. sanctions. Foreign governments should take all actions necessary to ensure that companies in their jurisdictions do not provide services to those aircraft, including the provision of jet fuel, catering, landing fees or maintenance. Under Economic Fury, the @USTreasury will impose maximum pressure on Iran and will not hesitate to act against any third parties that facilitate or conduct business with Iranian entities. wsj.com/livecoverage/i…

Dubai is like the dazzling partner some people enjoy being seen with, but know deep down they would never marry. Style without substance. Attraction without culture. All the confidence but none of the charisma. A place associated with glitz and glamour, not class and intellect. ✍️ Atbin Moayedi Article | spectator.com/article/dubai-…

@anders_aslund Bad analysis. Kuwait COULD HAVE come back much stronger if it had simply copied the Dubai or Abu Dhabi model.. however, having an elected parliament full of kleptomaniac morons and being too preoccupied with preserving tradition and religious culture, they chose not to evolve.

I lived in Kuwait 1977-78. It was the lively center of the Gulf, while Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Qatar were parochial outposts. In 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait. Although the West liberated Kuwait in 1991, Kuwait has never come back. The same is now likely for Dubai, Abu Dhabi & Qatar.

As part of the UAE's normalization with Israel, Mufti Menk broke fast with Rabbi Levi Duchman.
Before that, Duchman played a key role in the opening of the Israeli embassy in the UAE and is pictured here enjoying a private Zoom meeting with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

When you don't know EXACTLY what's going on, it's best not to say the wrong thing. Let those with a deeper understanding in that matter say what needs to be said. The Prophetic teaching to those who believe in the day of reckoning is to "utter what's upright or remain silent".

Yet another 2 of my (multi-millionaire) friends have left the U.K. for Dubai, just this week Three of the 12 richest billionaires in the U.K. have also LEFT the U.K. All taking all their tax, business, spending & jobs with them. And it’s getting worse & worse But is it really a surprise? I was recently in Dubai & it makes paying taxes in the U.K. feel like a scam No income tax. No capital gains tax. 5% VAT. 9% corp. Tax. No inheritance tax Yet the city thrives: Clean. No homeless. Safe World-class infrastructure. Wealth & opportunity everywhere But the U.K. burdens us with record levels of tax, crime & political envy Chronically broken public services. Low/no innovation or investment AND 500,000 more millionaires & billionaires predicted to leave the U.K. by 2028 Where did it all go wrong?
