When a flood hits, people with disabilities often face longer distances, delayed evacuation, and limited access to information. Moderated a conversation today that made one thing clear, we know the gaps, we just don’t design around them enough. Glad to be part of it. And congratulations to @boonabaana_ on launching @IgniteAbleFdn this work matters.

Big question! Who should be the next @_africanunion Envoy? Tag your pick and let’s get talking ⬇️ #DGTrends #APRMyouth @YouthEnvoyAU
African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM)@APRMorg

The @_AfricanUnion Commission (AUC) has had two Youth Envoys so far: Ms. Aya Chebbi from Tunisia and Ms. @ChidoMpemba from Zimbabwe. The Office of the @YouthEnvoyAU has done remarkable work in highlighting youth priorities within the AU ecosystem. Have you had a chance to engage with the Youth Envoy before? Who would you like to be the next @YouthEnvoyAU? #APRMyouth

How should you respond if a hiring manager asks for your last three months’ payslips during an interview? When asked for a payslip during a job interview, it’s important to handle the situation professionally while also aiming for a good salary compensation. Here are 2 effective ways to do that: Scenario 1: "I am bound by a non-disclosure agreement with my previous employer, which restricts me from sharing my payslip. Although I cannot disclose exact figures, I can confirm that my current compensation is in line with industry standards for my role and experience." If the interviewer still asks for your pay slip- Scenario 2: "My current total monthly compensation is Ksh 70,000. I have thoroughly researched the standard payscale for this role within the industry, and considering my experience and the value I bring, I am looking for a salary in the range of Ksh [Y amount to Z amount]. This range is based on market data and reflects the expertise and skills I will contribute to your team." You can use the second response if the interviewer has decided to move forward with your candidature. #IkoKaziKE

Youth For Green Communities (YGC).
In collaboration with CSOs, Indigenous community reps, WWDs are not waiting to be invited. They are demanding: ✅ Permanent seats in policy-making spaces ✅ Recognition of Indigenous & local knowledge ✅ Clear accountability for inclusion And this framework reflects exactly that
