I hooked up my mobile app to my infra and device. Borks in the middle. Debugging for a while, and then "oh, you can't use crypto in react native, it's unavailable". A what? No, seriously, a WHAT? This shit is a decade old and it *cannot* do crypto without a C library dumped in??

Jazz is my fav DB of 2025 Using it as storage for backends & frontends has been a blast. I am working on Clickhouse tooling to reliably backfill trillion of rows and using it as metadata storage together with useworkflow.dev

Another week, another successful release of a lovingly crafted indie app built on Jazz, this time with @expo. Cuppl is an all-in-one app using Jazz’s built-in collaboration and sharing features for the most important team of them all: You and your significant other ❤️

One of the key aspects of Jazz is that you can granularly choose which data to load & sync locally. This is very powerful, but a bit surprising at first. 0.19.0 is a significant DX upgrade that makes loaded vs unloaded data much clearer on a type level. jazz.tools/docs/react/upg…
