I built this thing called Clicky. It's an AI teacher that lives as a buddy next to your cursor. It can see your screen, talk to you, and even point at stuff, kinda like having a real teacher next to you. I've been using it the past few days to learn Davinci Resolve, 10/10.

Want to be a great backend engineer? Please learn: 1. Programming Fundamentals Language depth, Data structures, Algorithms, Concurrency, Memory basics 2. APIs and Contracts REST, gRPC basics, Versioning, Idempotency, Pagination, Error handling 3. Databases SQL, Joins, Indexes, Transactions, Query optimization, Schema design 4. Caching Redis, Cache invalidation, TTLs, Read-through vs write-through, Hot key problems 5. Async and Messaging Queues, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Retries, DLQs, At-least-once delivery, Idempotent consumers 6. Distributed Systems Basics Replication, Partitioning, Consistency, Leader-follower, Network failures, Backpressure 7. @ravikiran_dev7 Google Maps uses live GPS data from users’ phones to track speed and movement if many users slow down in the same area, it detects traffic congestion automatically

Solve 4-5 less LeetCode problems and spend that time learning Distributed Systems instead. DSA teaches you how to solve problems. Distributed Systems teach you how systems survive the real world. Failures. Latency. Replication. Consistency. Scale. Threads. This is where software stops being academic and starts becoming real engineering. Start thinking in systems.

@SakshiSugandhi I’d start with EXPLAIN to find bottlenecks, then optimize using indexing, query rewriting, and reducing data scanned. If needed, I’d add caching or partitioning. Goal is to eliminate full scans and reduce I/O.

It’s not a different file… it’s a different lifecycle + storage contract. What actually changes: Media is uploaded and encrypted like normal Message carries a “view-once” flag + metadata On receiver side, client enforces: render once store in app’s private temp storage (not gallery / media store) delete immediately after viewing Server marks it as consumed → no re-fetch allowed Why it doesn’t show in gallery: Normal images are written to device media storage (indexed by gallery apps) View-once media stays in sandboxed app storage → never indexed → invisible to gallery Trade-off: Still not foolproof (screenshots, second device, modded apps)
SumitM@SumitM_X

As a developer, Have you ever thought : How is "View Once" photo implemented in WhatsApp? When you send a view-once image… How Is the image different from normal media?
