Everywhere I go, people keep commenting on how wild it is that I have something working with us straight from *prison*.
Well, no longer.
Tomorrow, at 8 am in the morning, @PThorpe92 is a free man.
Preston is an inspiration to us all. He achieved so much from behind bars. I am sure he will go even higher as a free man.

Woke up to a weird thing today
A bunch of discord servers I was in vanished (I think I was kicked out pretty sure I didn't break any rules cause I wasn't active)
Got timed out in @bootdotdev and @theo's server for no reason
What's going on??

I literally can't win with pronouns on Boot dev, it's insane. We have people cancel over NOT using "they" in lesson text and people cancelling over us USING "they".
> In one of your lessons you refer to a single person named "Logan" using the third person plural pronoun.
>
> At this point without assurances that the developers intend to correct the course material to correctly use the grammatically correct generic masculine as the correct generic pronoun, I have no interest in financially supporting the intentional cultural vandalism of my personal linguistic heritage
Here's your refund, you won't be missed.
I DON'T CARE about this. I don't care. WHY DO PEOPLE CARE. These are not real people in the lesson text. They're genderless EXAMPLES. Sometimes we say he/she, sometimes we say they, it depends on context and which maintainer happened to update it last.
wwhwhhwyyyyy dooooo weee careeee sooo much. get a life.

@snowjustthesnow that time estimate is just an estimate! they're not video courses, so if you code quickly its much less
that said, we don't skip important fundamentals, so it often takes longer than 1 hour

@bootdotdev hello 👋 as someone who's been working in the industry since 2016 I wanted to ask what makes an 8 hour course a valid way of learning today? I want to try out your platform but I'm interested in why the course is 8 hours Vs 1 hour plus projects?
English

@bootdotdev I just noticed that after using a seer stone to view a solution, if I wanna chat with the llm, I still need to use a salmon. that chat should be free since I already know the solution 🙃
