A fire in a building next to the railway at Sutton Bonington, between Loughborough and East Midlands Parkway, resulted in all lines through the area being closed earlier today for safety following large amounts of smoke and debris blocking the railway.

OK, I snapped these in Stamford, a year or three ago - this lovely town abounds with these things (which are lethal when icy - and I love' em. In my home town of Burnley, they wd be described as 'ginnels' because they're too long to be a 'snicket.' What did you know them as?
