@totalstemteach In the real world you have to get the work done. My principal doesn’t tell me to forget about my PDP because I missed the “turn in by” date. It is looked at and commented on the same as PDPs turned in on time. There are other consequences than 0s.

I had an intense conversation with a colleague about grading. I don’t give 0s or penalize late work, and I give 2nd chances. Their argument was it is not fair to other students who turn their work in on time, and I am not preparing them for the workforce. I need backup. Anybody??

Highlight of my day? LUNCH TIME! Not for the reason you might think though. When we finally settled down to eat, the masks came off. I got to see the sweet faces of my students for the very first time! It was like the big reveal! Lol! They were all so beautiful!❤
