A small amount of antimatter took to the road on Tuesday, representing the first time any quantity of the world’s most expensive, volatile and rare substance has been moved.
The breakthrough opens the door to new possibilities for the study of the elusive material. cnn.it/3NKtWSQ

English

@DerekWilliams82 @CNN Because you didn't pay attention in science class? Like if you took even high school level physics in virtually any modern country, even the USA, you should have learned about the basics of what antimatter is.
We've known that for a lot longer than anyone has used it in fiction.
English

@Jim20273465 @CNN Magnetic bottle. That's a well known method of containment.
That's why it's going to take a vehicle this size to move even small amounts for the foreseeable future.
Because with our current tech level magnetic bottles require a lot of mass in terms of the magnets and so on
English

@BenMoxcey @ElGrandulonAZ @InterstellarUAP Using an English translation to prove that point is silly. Go back to older documents and look at the words used in Hebrew or whatever
English

@ElGrandulonAZ @InterstellarUAP Exodus 13:12 and 34:19 talk about how everyone “born” enters in through the “matrix” which they refer to as the womb. Although “womb” is used in many places - these are the only two places “matrix” is used. And it talks about setting aside those reserved for God.

🚨 Simulation Theory: The Double Slit Experiment proves particles act like waves until observed then they snap into particles.
What if our reality only "renders" when we're looking, just like a video game optimizing resources?
Check out this episode from The Why Files breaking it down, tying it to Simulation Theory. Are we in a sim?
This could be the key to unlocking the true nature of existence!
The Why Files video did a great job on explaining the Double Slit Experiment & Simulation Theory
What do YOU think—real or rendered? Drop your thoughts below!

@sortitionist @BradWitbeck Your 1st point is an assumption. A big one. You offer it axiomatically with no proof, no reasoning and no back up. Your 2nd point applies to the very idea of God as much as anything specific to LDS theology. Your 3rd point only follows if we accept your first axiom. Try again.
English

@BradWitbeck Logical problems are not hate.
Logical Argument Against Mormonism.
1. An Actual Infinite can not exist.
2. Mormonism implies infinite eternally existing
matter and "intelligences".
3. Therefore, Mormonism is false.
English

@LatterDayBean @brianhuggard On my mission there were hundreds that knew literally nothing about the actual gospel, because some shady Elders were being pressured to baptize as many as possible without much regard for conversion.
English

@LatterDayBean @brianhuggard No, sadly, it's true enough, though perhaps a touch misleading. Most of the ones that are that ignorant are those who grew up in the church with minimal attention paid to the details or those that got baptized because they fell in love with a missionary
English

I had a realtor come to my house and he started asking about the Church.
He asked to see a Book of Mormon because hed never seen one. (I told him he could have it!)
What I found fascinating was that I had to resort to atheist levels of biblical knowledge to teach him the origin.
I wont say his denomination, but based on my experience in the South, his level of knowledge and understanding is very common out here.

English

@NunyaBitneo4 @the_jake_bastow The LDS Church isn't a cult. If you think that those that publicly leave Catholicism, your average evangelical sect, or a group of methodists don't sometimes experience the exact same things, then you're blind to reality. None of what you for mention above is supposed to happen
English

@the_jake_bastow Yeah, hate to break it to you, but getting out of the cult won’t doom your marriage.

English

I know of a married couple in my extended circle who constantly berated Joseph Smith’s character. They accused him of womanizing, destroying marriages, and said all kinds of vulgar things about him. Eventually, they left the LDS Church.
Soon after, they became close friends with another married couple who shared the same criticisms. Over time, both couples adopted an openly immoral lifestyle - entering into open marriages, swapping spouses, and swinging with each other and other couples.
Predictably, everything unraveled. Both marriages ended in divorce. Then, in a bizarre twist, each person married the other couple’s former spouse. They even thought it’d be a great idea to then move next door to each other so all their kids could grow up together.
Within a year, it all collapsed. The situation became exactly the kind of painful train wreck you would expect, leaving broken families and confused children in its wake.
The irony is hard to miss. It all began with them loudly condemning Joseph Smith over accusations that were largely speculative. Yet in the end, they themselves destroyed their marriages by engaging in the very behavior they falsely accused him of.
There’s a lesson in that.
When people obsessively attack someone else’s supposed moral failings, it can sometimes say far more about their own hearts than it does about the person they’re condemning.

English

@JasontheLayman @the_jake_bastow We do not worship Joseph Smith. At least not as a matter of doctrinal teaching. Some misguided members probably have, but that is clearly not the doctrine. JS was, of course, imperfect. But your charges against him are specious and largely based on opinion.
English

Nobody is perfect, outside of Christ. You can find fault in any man, woman, and child. There's grace and mercy available to those couples, but what Joseph Smith did was unpardonable.
Your beloved founder, whom all LDS members proudly worship, proclaimed that all other professing Christians for the previous eighteen hundred years were all apostate and corrupt, and then promptly declared himself as the prophet of restoration.
He not only behaved inappropriately with women outside of his marriage, he blasphemed the Holy Spirit incessantly, claiming Jesus was speaking through him. He would oftentimes say things like, "Behold, I am Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and verily I say unto you."
He was a charlatan. He lied often. He was a narcissist who desired to be king. There's only one other example in human history that was as evil as your highly esteemed conman, and that was Muhammad, both of whom have led millions away from the narrow path of the cross and instead down the wide path to destruction.
English

@LDSquotable I've seen so many divorces and so on where people judged. It can literally lead to someone's death. Unemployment, job loss, nontraditional jobs and families where the woman is the primary income earner can all lead to someone deciding they can't take the pain of this world.
English

@IchimokuSatoshi @hankrsmith He was talking about Joseph sold into Egypt, not Joseph Smith, who did not, in fact, have 11 brothers, and the ones he did have didn't unite against him. Get your facts straight
English

@hankrsmith Presupposes God sent Joseph smith.
Can’t be demonstrated
English

Joseph’s 11 brothers united against him, yet he became God’s instrument to save them.
Zherka@ZherkaOfficial
Christians need to unite. Mormons are not welcome
English

@SavedByGrace300 @TeeplesCY Your repeated claim that God promised to preserve every bit of his word forever is first unsourced. Where is that stated please? The Bible clearly states that "that day shall not come to pass except there first be a falling away."
English

Hello. At some points mormons must figure out that they'll face God for being a part of an anti-God religion where the entire foundation of the book of mormon is that God's Word was corrupted shortly after the Apostles until about 200 years ago when joseph smith 'restored' it via an alleged angel.
Since God promised to preserve every word of His Word for every generation forever, that means the foundation of the book of mormon / mormonism is:
- God lied.
- God is too weak to keep all of His promises
- Hence we can't trust God to keep all His promises
That sort of foundation is from the devil.
Those who are born again children of God would leave mormonism and get into a church that preaches the Word of God - the Bible - without compromise / led by the Holy Spirit.
Those who are just playing church will stay in mormonism.
Look into it friends. Heaven/heII hinges on it. Re-read the Gospels and the rest!
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Acts 16:29
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:23
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:14
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:8

At some point non-Mormons must figure out that ROI is irrelevant.
Everything the Church does is income-consuming, not income-producing.
– $1B+ annually on humanitarian aid
– $1B+ annually on education
– World-class genealogy software — free
– Tens of thousands of meetinghouses maintained worldwide
– The most stunning sacred spaces in modern Christianity
– A missionary program sending young people to serve and teach about Jesus across the globe
– Translation, printing, and distribution of the Bible and Book of Mormon in hundreds of languages
No monetary return on any of it.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:19-21
ROI doesn’t apply when that’s never been the point.
English

@wordy_fiend @hankrsmith I agree. But the post above says the opposite-that those who die without accepting Jesus after doomed, and that's a very harsh view that condemns billions.
English

@borchard76 @hankrsmith No need for that. God gives light to all people and he judges by the reception of that light.
English

“The dead who repent will be redeemed.”
Immortal Tessy@TheresaArueyin1
Praying for someone's soul once they are dead is pointless. They either accepted Christ while breathing or they didn't. Last breath=last chance.
English

@breaunabelike @xevekiah @PappasitosTXMEX When these things happen you should always involve police and a lawyer
English

@xevekiah i was sa’d at the front door of the @PappasitosTXMEX i worked at. two managers where near me when it happened. i told many other managers outside of those two including the gm. when the gm reported the incident to hr she lied about the details of the situation, making it seem to
English

my niece was assaulted by a coworker at a company offsite.
not a misunderstanding. not “mixed signals.” she told him no. more than once. he cornered her anyway. she left early, shaking, and reported it the very next morning.
HR thanked her for “coming forward.” said they would handle it discreetly.
a week later she was placed on “temporary leave during the investigation.” paid at first. then unpaid. they said it was to “protect team morale.”
he stayed. kept his badge. kept his projects. kept laughing in meetings.
people started whispering that she must have “misread the situation.” leadership said there was “insufficient evidence.” her word against his.
when she asked to return, they told her her role had already been filled because the team “needed stability.”
she lost her job. her income. her health insurance.
he got to keep his.
and they still posted about supporting survivors.
soup 🤍@alorazei
hit me with the harshest reality truth
English

@xevekiah If this is accurate, then, if she can, she gets a lawyer and she sues. Most law firms, if she has any evidence at all of what HR told her, would see this as a slam dunk. Not because of the allegation of sexual harassment, but because this is a clear case of wrongful termination
English

@aetherealae @hell_line0 Define not working. Are you in danger? Or just annoyed/frustrated? If you're in danger you get out. If the partner is cheating/abusive, etc, then they've already chosen to open that gate. If they just have annoying habits, then keep the gate closed while you work through
English

@hell_line0 But when gatekeep aint working where should we go? Swallowed everything by one self?
English

When I first got married, I called my mom to complain about some argument my husband and I were having. My mom stopped me right there and said, "unless you are in danger, dont ever let anyone into your marriage, not even me". Its was the best advice I could've ever received as a young wife. It allowed me to take my concerns directly to my husband, think thru how I really feel without someone projecting themselves on me. Gatekeep the marriage.
jezz@ABmrJutt
now i understand why people gatekeep their marriages. not secret. not hidden. gatekept.
English

@JalenAllen0519 @MrJoshton @hell_line0 You are always best talking to your partner FIRST about the things that bother you. If you then can't reach an agreement, then it's time to wait until you can be more objective.
English

@MrJoshton @hell_line0 It’s about the intent and objective of the individual honestly. If you are confiding in someone bias towards you or you have a tendency to deliver half truths then you won’t benefit from confiding.
English

@MrJoshton @hell_line0 Marriage counseling, done correctly, is for both partners to learn how to speak to each other. It's not for you to complain
Marriage is a partnership. You and your spouse against everything that would tear you apart. You speak to that partner or those things will win.
English

@hell_line0 But what if you’re the type that processes everything by talking it out, how do you retrain yourself not to spill to friends?
And also is talking about your marriage in therapy and counseling for the religious ones also not part of bringing strangers into the marriage?
English

@AfricanComNotes @Variety She's not even an immigrant. She works here .. Sometimes. That's it.
English

@Variety The disadvantage of being an "immigrant" American. You always have to know your place.

Michelle Yeoh declined to speak about U.S. politics during a press conference at Berlin Film Festival, instead shifting the focus to cinema.
“I don’t think I am in the position to really talk about the political situation in the U.S., and also I cannot presume to say I understand how it is," she said. "So, best not to talk about something I don’t know about. I think I want to concentrate on what is important for us, which is cinema.” variety.com/2026/film/fest…
