To no fault of their own, most parents start there basketball journey on the wrong foot. USA Basketball recommends AVOIDING 5v5 at the introductory level. Important level bc players can actually learn to hate the sport if not put in the proper learning environment.

We’ve mentioned many times before that there is no handbook or “How-To” for parents to follow as they try their best to guide there child on this basketball journey. BUT the closest thing to it would get the curriculum that USA Basketball has published.
