I rewatched Movsar x Lerone this morning, and I feel very confident in how I scored the fight. I had it 3–2 for Movsar — Rounds 1, 4, and 5 for him. However, he loses a point in the fourth, and as a result, I feel very comfortable saying this was a 47–47 draw. This was a very frustrating and somewhat depressing fight to watch. It was so bizarre. Movsar is a dominant grappler, yet he wasn’t doing what he does best. He’s undefeated, at the top of his game, should have already fought for the belt — and he’s out there seemingly choosing to abstain from what got him to this undefeated position. And this is the byproduct of the UFC not giving title shots to those who are most deserving.

@lthomasnews I rewatched it and had the same reaction. You know what I realized can also influence people beside the commentary? The twitter/threads scores they show after each round.

The review process is fraught with problems and just as open to manipulative forces as the original watch of a fight. That said, after reviewing the Evloev-Murphy main event, I much better now see how Evloev won. Several rounds are close, but Evloev is the rightful winner.

I would maybe give Movsar RD 3 because of the TD but I think he landed 1-2 strikes there and Murphy was right back up. Razor close RD. Rounds like 1&3 deserve to be 10-10, and that will solve things. Make someone push to separate themselves. Otherwise the internet is doing what we’re all doing rn, confused and guessing on what we’re watching.

Movsar’s performance against Murphy is criminally underrated. Murphy lowkey looked like shit & got shut down Movsar dominated - Better cardio & higher pace - More power & walked him down - Easily outmuscled him - Avoided most shots & checked leg kicks - Dealt with a bogus point deduction Lerone literally looked like a punch bag with limited cardio after round 2. It’s insane fans actually thought he won

I think Movsar beating Lerone at his own game is what is stinging people so much about the decision. Evloev chose to make it competitive by only striking basically the first half of the fight. If Movsar grappled from round one on he would've easily won 5-0.
