Kolkata | West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari says, "In the fire incident in Tiljala, we formed a joint committee. We have received and reviewed their report. What has been found is very alarming. There was no approved building plan, no basic fire safety system, and no proper electricity system. The structure was completely illegal. We have taken some actions. We have arrested the two owners. We have instructed the electricity supply authorities to permanently disconnect the power. We have asked CESC to audit and disconnect all connections that do not have a valid building plan. We have also instructed the KMC to demolish the structure within a day. We are following a zero-tolerance policy in this matter. We are also warning all those who are involved in illegal activities.

Better HDR ≠ Better Image Nowadays, phones are mostly judged by their HDR performance which is fine to a certain extent but beyond that, it often results in nothing more than a flat image. There’s no depth or vibe in flat images. It’s not just about who exposes the shadows better or controls the highlights better. Sometimes, you have to respect both the highlights and shadows to preserve the depth of the image. Recently, I’ve watched many Ultra phone reviews and posts on social media where reviewers often use only Auto mode to compare phones. That’s fine for a normal user who isn't really into photography but judging a phone solely by its HDR performance isn’t fair. That’s not what an Ultra phone is meant for. Ultra phones are not designed to be used only in Auto mode. Their target audience also includes photography enthusiasts and true photographers usually don’t prefer this flat image processing. I really hope that when reviewing a camera centric phone, reviewers put in extra effort to explore the photography related features and modes available on these devices to show the audience what they’re truly capable of and for those who want to buy a camera-focused phone, I’d say every phone is great in its own way. In the end, it depends on your skill and how well you use it to achieve good results.

Construction is underway up to Michael Nagar, with a proposal sent to the Railway Board for an underground extension from Michael Nagar to Barasat. 🟣 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 ➜ Construction of the Purple Line's Esplanade station has been stalled because traders at BC Roy Market are unwilling to shift to an alternative site. Officials believe the issue will be resolved now. 🌸 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 and 🟢 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞 ➜ The Baranagar-Barrrackpore corridor of the Pink Line, the Howrah Maidan-Santragachhi Bus Terminal corridor and Sector V-Teghoria corridor of the Green Line are currently stuck due to Union-State funding issues which officials expect to get resolved now.
