To all the moderate and sane Democrats wondering what you're going to do about your party after yesterday - my heart goes out to you because now you have to do some soul searching. Let me just say this - The GOP are the not the boogiemen and boogiewomen you've been led to believe we are. We're a pretty big tent and we're happy to welcome you in it. We don't care what color your skin is or who you go to bed with at night (as long as it's an adult and consensual), we don't even care what you look like - blue hair, tattoos, piercings - all good. We don't even care if you pretend to be the opposite sex. As long as you don't expect us to pretend along with you, we're going to get along just fine. Yes, we're rooted in reality, and that's not as much fun as fairy tales and unicorns, but at the end of the day we don't worry about much because we can take care of ourselves and our loved ones. And that's a pretty big deal, one worth fighting for.
