@TheFootyFeed Much as I hate Arsenal (Artita in particular) the ball only has to be overhanging the line when you look down, every player from u10s upwards does it. It actually makes zero difference its just a psychological advantage - but I agree we should go back to the whole ball being in.

The placement of every corner taken by Declan Rice is spot on, yet the officials remain silent. The PGMOL might as well just admit they’re rooting for Arsenal to clinch the league...

@refsupportuk But, as a referee, he should have blown as soon as the ball dropped to the first blue player, instead he let them clear the ball to a player who ran 30 yards & then, as he played a pass to a player in an extremely favourable position he blew the whistle. He didn't help himself.

@leegooner123 @HACKETTREF Play him as a wing back and you're laughing- as long as you.know the crosses will make chances BUT that he IS weak defensively. Always wondered why hes not just converted himself to midfield.

Henry I wonder why this player appears not to satisfy the England manager when we know how good he is.

Few players could conjure up a cross as Trent Alexander-Arnold did for Kylian Mbappe against Bayern in the Bernabeu. Few could see the perfect place to put the ball for Mbappe let alone execute the pass. Alexander-Arnold could. Vision and technique. Other countries would celebrate such a talent. He’s won the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool. He now starts for Real Madrid. Yet can’t make a 36-man England squad for a couple of friendlies. Neither of which England won. Alexander-Arnold did show why the watching Thomas Tuchel has concerns about him defensively. Few expect England’s head coach to pick him in his World Cup 26. Reece James, fitness permitting, and probably Tino Livramento are Tuchel’s right-back picks. But Alexander-Arnold showed the huge reward that goes with occasional risk. His dead-ball delivery and crossing are world class. Can Tuchel really leave such a game-changing talent behind? He probably will. And there will be crunch moments in the knockout stages, late on in tight games against far more testing opposition than England swanned past in qualifying, perhaps even in a penalty shootout, when England will regret not having Alexander-Arnold's right foot to kick-start their recovery. His club-mate, Jude Bellingham, showed at the Bernabeu why he has to start at 10 for England at the World Cup. Big-game player, came on and brought more menace to Real. His strong personality, technical and physical qualities are needed in pressure situations. Tuchel has exceptional options at 10, and Morgan Rogers is a Tuchel favourite, but Bellingham is world class. He has to start. #ENG #RMCF #RMABAY

@refsupportuk @talkSPORT @SamWallaceTel @samcunningham @henrywinter I was seriously assaulted and hospitalised twice early in my reffing years, both players went to prison (and received lifetime footballing bans). However I understand life bans (with no app for 7 years) are no longer the statutory ban they once were for assault on an official??

Some positive developments with my discussion with the FA on supporting refs who have been assaulted. There has never been a dedicated process to support refs after they have been assaulted. Many don’t hear from the FA or County FA after the case has finished. Many didn’t even know the result of the case and many leave the game due to the lack of support. There was no follow up process to check in with the ref regularly. Interestingly, refs were never told if the person that assaulted them was back playing after their ban. This was clearly a problem that needed addressing. After identifying this and mentioning this in my regular discussions with the FA, I’m pleased to say that the FA have now introduced a new process where the ref will be contacted at regular intervals and the ref will be asked if they want to know when the player who assaulted them is back playing. These discussions came after I noted that the player in this video had served his ban and was back playing but the ref did not know he was back playing after only a 5 year ban. I wish to put on record my thanks to Alan Darfi and Tim Foster from the FA for supporting me with the introduction of my suggestion that I believe will bring in a postive level of support that will keep refs in the game and safeguard the wellbeing of referees post assaults. I have kept in touch with the ref myself over the last 5 years who gave me permission to post this video again. #NoRefNogame

@OxfordSpeedway Stupid move - are you trying to alienate even more people? It's bad enough having no cash admissions but that???? Shocking.

@Stephen78857051 Not sure whether this is the one in 1981 at Oldbury Utd (York Road) that included all the riders her plus Eddie Kidd and a couple of others. There was definitely a knobbly knees competition which it looks like might be being judged here.

Plenty of decent speedway riders in this pic but not sure about their footballing skills. No idea of the venue or occasion? Could that be Dave Lanning on the far right bending over looking across the line of players🤔

🚨🚨 BREAKING NEWS: PGMOL have suspended Stuart Attwell for two matches and fined him €17,000 for failing to intervene in the penalty incident involving Amad Diallo. Additionally, Harry Maguire’s red card has been overturned, meaning he will be available to play in the next match after the international break.
