This post might not be popular, but hear me out. I just finished a phone call with my business partner, Lamar, in Atlanta, USA (the sixth such call since Monday), asking about the turmoil in South Africa. Ordinarily, when we talk, I am asking him to explain the orange man and the politics of the USA. Today, he said to me, “Seems like the craziness has travelled across the Atlantic & docked at the Cape of Good Hope.” Each of these six calls is with a respected & highly successful black business leader from another country. They’ve seen the videos circulating on social media, & they are wondering if it's safe to travel into SA. Lamar is bringing black investors to SA soon to seek investment opportunities. He and the people he is due to travel with have seen the images, videos and posts depicting clashes and violence between South Africans and foreign nationals. Remember that in the world of PR: facts come after the party is over. By the time the facts, the nuance, & perfectly crafted statements arrive, the impressions have been set, people have their beliefs about the matter and society's attention has shifted elsewhere. Let me be clear: this post isn’t about whether South Africa faces an immigration crisis, an economic crisis, or whether the country’s system is being exploited. Those are important debates, but that’s not what I’m addressing here. What I want to highlight is this: in the absence of bold leadership, chaos & opportunism rule. There’s a dangerous lack of clear, unambiguous leadership. A clear lack of visible action. … I can’t help but wonder, where is our leadership? Why are the business leaders silent? They all want to talk about how Africa is their growth economy, but remain silent when Africa turns on itself. Make it make sense. Why are civic leaders quiet? And most critically, where is our head of state, the leader of our nation? Where is his executive? Where is the Tourism Board of South Africa & Department of Tourism? After all, they are the custodian of Brand South Africa? Where is the DIRCO? They are the stewards of South Africa's soft power with its peer nations. Where is BUSA, BLSA & their peer network of organisations? This moment needs action beyond opinion pieces about “building network industries.” This moment is near-on existential, & left unattended, it will affect the image of South Africa (and the world's perception of South Africans) for at least a generation. Why is the corridor of leadership so empty? It's unimaginable that our Presidency department (the primary client of our intelligence service) has not provided clear leadership at this moment. They, more than all of us, should know the cost of poor international perception left unattended. Leadership, clarity, and communication are crucial now. Some say that our leaders are quiet because they are taking their time to understand the forces ar play. However, the optics (the visual impact) of our current situation are undeniably grim. Regardless of your political stance or favourite political party, the image of the country is at stake. The image we are currently projecting is one of institutional failure. There is a sign hanging above South Africa’s leadership that reads “House To Let.” This is a dangerous crossroads. So, can the real leader please stand up? Can the president, his executive, the well-paid company heads, and our prominent civic leaders lead us out of this darkness? True leadership in these critical moments. I might be wrong, but I doubt it. Let's argue in the comments. VT

Your uncle is probably very patriotic, but he is also a logical man who thinks rationally. Going back to Zimbabwe is what every Zimbabwean in the diaspora would love to do, because home is not just a place, it is identity, memory, and belonging. The tragedy with Zimbabwe is that even if you have money, you will still struggle. There is erratic electricity, unreliable clean water, and no dependable healthcare system. You can wake up and find that your money has been changed from United States dollars into some unstable local currency. Roads are full of potholes, politics is predictably tragic, and people are literally living around broken sewage systems. Folks constantly need support, whether in rural areas or in the cities. It is a stressful life. I went back to Zimbabwe after studying in the United Kingdom in 2003 and lived there until 2024, and I can tell you that it is a struggle. Retirement is supposed to be a time to enjoy life, not to manage daily uncertainty. At that stage, stability matters because stress triggers conditions like high blood pressure and diabetes. Healthcare is the biggest issue. Public hospitals are dysfunctional, and private healthcare is extremely expensive. An MRI scan can cost up to US$2,000. If you have US$200,000 saved for retirement, meant to last 20 years, you are already spending around 1 percent of your savings on a single scan. Serious illnesses like cancer can wipe out your finances completely, and in some cases, treatment is not even available locally. Now compare that to someone living in the United Kingdom, where healthcare is provided through the National Health Service. When they weigh these realities, staying abroad is not a betrayal of their country, it is a rational survival decision. Your uncle is right. Life remains difficult across every metric, from fuel costs and unreliable electricity to weak public services and limited state response when you need help. Even business is not predictable or fair. What makes this painful is that people are not choosing exile because they want to, they are choosing it because they have to. That is the real tragedy.
Tazo@TheLifeZoomer

I had an Uncle visit us from Zimbabwe. He says we should never ever think of relocating back to Zimbabwe. He is the third relative who has said this. We will die in exile it seems😢

Another tip for the gents, no matter how much luggage you travel with, don’t buy a wheeled suitcase, get a duffel bag and a back pack, if there’s more luggage get two duffel bags. Carry your luggage instead of pushing it, stand in that long queue at the airport with all bags on you, this is great for your full body strength. Always maximise on getting stronger, ALWAYS!!!

I have read your very long and meaningless response Mr Mutebuka. I always wanted to engage, especially on political debates that foreground national questions, but I have discovered, in my research on what you do and how you conduct yourself, even in the courts where you work, that you have a propensity for substituting clarity and structured thought with unnuanced rumblings to waste time. I have also discovered that you mistake length for substance in most of your engagements. That is the reason why I had blocked you. I simply wanted to save my time after realising that most of your submissions are usually very verbose high-sounding nonsense. At least I am not the only one who discovered such shortcomings in your discursive engagements. Judge Lucy Shepherd, someone you know very well, also registered disquiet over your penchant for making lengthy, irrelevant speeches just to waste time. She wrote, in one of her judgements, “The parties had been ordered to agree and provide a strict timetable for the second part of the hearing…..When the Employment Judge attempted to move matters forward, assist with appropriate questions, and manage the hearing Mr Mutebuka made lengthy speeches about bias, bullying and diversity which were not relevant and caused further delay.” It is in your nature, Mr Mutebuka, to make lengthy meaningless rumbles whenever you have nothing substantial to say. I was tempted to say you are a bat of esoteric erudition; but realised you are just a distracted preacher of political hogwash ministering to the vanity of an equally vacuous waning politician. That is the reason I didn’t want to engage you. But seeing that you want to be an undertaker to the democratic efforts being put in place to resist Constitutional Amendment Bill 3 through your unwarranted attacks on people like @BitiTendai and others, I have chosen to engage you with the hope you will see the folly of what you are doing. I want you to see, Mr Mutebuka, that in supporting a regime enabler in @nelsonchamisa, you are aiding Emmerson Mnangagwa to achieve a term extension from whence Chamisa would benefit the post of Prime Minister in 2030. The truth, Mr Mutebuka, is that @nelsonchamisa initiated talks with Mnangagwa, seeking to become Prime Minister without MPs after Douglas Mwonzora had taken control of the MDC-A party. He was afraid of being seen at State House, so he asked Hopewell Chin’ono @daddyhope to act as his emissary. Chamisa and the First Lady’s aide, Benson Muneri, met to kick-start the negotiations at Chin’ono’s house in Chisipite Harare. These meetings were once written about here on X by George Charamba @Jamwanda2, and people rubbished him because they could not believe that Chamisa could be selfish to an extent of seeking to initiate talks with Mnangagwa’s regime, not for national good, but for personal benefit. I have attached herein, an audio recording in which you can hear Chamisa telling the First Lady’s emissary that he no-longer wanted a go-between in his negotiations. This is when he decided to drop Hopewell Chin’ono from the negotiations because Hopwell, unbeknown to Chamisa, had engaged the late Dr Alex Magaisa to draft a proper framework for negotiations for a government of national unity, not just a personal deal for Chamisa. Those are the papers he says he didn’t want. In the audio I have attached here, you can hear him saying “Nyaya yandisingadi ndeye matsamba nechii chii, zvinhu zvinozokonzera manewspapers.” Clearly, Chamisa wanted some secret deal that wasn’t supposed to come out in the public through newspapers. He didn’t want a paper trail. He didn’t want accountability. The question is why? Some of us have been knowing about this since 2021, but we chose to keep quiet hoping your guy would repent. It was not until you started publishing your treacherous fiction, which I am well aware, came from Chamisa, in an attempt to taint people like Biti, Hopewell and others, that I decided to clarify issues and to expose your guy for who he is-a Mnangagwa project. There is a wealth of evidence, not the fictional stories you are peddling, to prove that Chamisa approached the regime for a personal deal and that he engaged Hopewell to be his go-between. Hopewell even asked Chamisa if he could do this with someone from the CCC party, since he was not a member. Chamisa refused and said he did not want anyone else to know. However, Hopewell informed Dr Alex Magaisa, and they agreed that he should not tell Chamisa that he had shared this, since Chamisa insisted on absolute secrecy. The first meeting took place in November 2021 at State House. Before going there, Hopewell informed his lawyer, a prominent businessman, an economist, and a bank CEO to cover his back, after he had been warned that Chamisa was treacherous. He was driven to meet Ben Muneri at his offices by the well-known economist. Hopewell presented Nelson’s position to the First Lady, who was acting as a go-between between Nelson and the President. Chamisa wanted to be Prime Minister, a position not provided for in the constitution. You can see why he has no problem with the illegal changes to the constitution that Mnangagwa is pushing? It is because they see things the same way. Their personal interests take precedence over constitutional provisions. The second meeting took place in February 2022, just after Chamisa’s CCC large rally at Zimbabwe Grounds. This time, Chamisa had also told Dr Magaisa but misled him by claiming he was the only one aware of the talks. He also misrepresented, to Magaisa, the purpose of the talks. For the second meeting, Hopewell asked Dr Magaisa to draft a proposal, since Chamisa had provided none. Dr Magaisa produced what he termed a pre- and post-election pact, which rejected Chamisa’s desire to become Prime Minister before the 2023 elections. It called for an agreement on non-violence and proposed that any Government of National Unity could only be based on the outcome of the 2023 elections. When Chamisa discovered that his ambition to become Prime Minister had been blocked by the position paper that Dr Magaisa had given Hopewell, on the basis that a GNU could not be formed while Mwonzora controlled Parliament, he then dropped Hopewell. He instructed the First Lady’s emissary to cut Hopewell out and said he no longer wanted him involved. The evidence is contained in the audio below. The opposition and Zimbabwe were saved by Dr Magaisa, who wrote the paper that Hopewell presented, blocking Chamisa’s Prime Ministerial deal with Mnangagwa. It was a personal deal, that is why he wanted to go it alone in the negotiations. Today, he is silent on 2030 because he has been promised the same position of Prime Minister if 2030 goes through. He is currently in America, but he will be back for Easter Holidays to cause more confusion. As long as you continue publishing your fiction and trying to sow confusion among those fighting Constitutional Amendment Bill3, I will come here with more damning audios about Chamisa and how he wants to derail the people’s fight against 2030, the same way he did to Geza’s calls to fight ED. Responding to Jealousy Mawarire's Post Via Ibbo Mandaza! *Warning - Very Very Very Long Read - No Point Reading It If You Do Not Have The Patience* a. As he responded to my post while knowing he blocked me for challenging him about how the regime used him to front that infamous 2013 choreographed case which collapsed the GNU, I have chosen to respond to him via Prof Mandaza, as I know that they refer to each other as in-laws & that "Yohwe!" comment says it all. b. My post was not directed at Jealousy, so I am not sure about his locus standi in this saga, unless if he has been appointed Hopewell's spokesperson, but it's telling that Hopewell was not courageous enough to set the record straight by himself. c. I will get straight to the point. I appreciate him vicariously confirming the accuracy of what I had posted. Where he has gotten it wrong epically is my source. d. He has assumed, without any shred of evidence, that my source of @nelsonchamisa, who has then gone on to catch strays. e. I have got several credible sources. I use tri-angulation when it comes to sources, meaning a minimum of three totally unrelated parties & have a high threshold for posting anything sensitive. f. Given my profession, what I post must be capable of corroboration. There cannot be recklessness. It has to be done responsibly. g. In this particular instance, I will just cite one of them. That source is a non-political figure. They allege that they were horrified & felt aghast in a certain social setting when Hopewell suddenly made the phone call, spoke to her at length within earshot, discussing all manner of things (The First Lady), and then said "Mhamha vari kuda kutaura nemi." h. That is as far as I can go without exposing my source. So there it is, all you have done is simply confirm the accuracy of what I posted before going on to expose your own, & Hopewell's absence of rigour & personal hatred of Chamisa. i. You are clearly both dismissive of my own agency & nous in generating my own sources within my personal & professional circles. j. For what it's worth, that desperate, long winded drivel you have woven is classic Hopewell rumour mongering / whispering campaigns at it's best / worst depending on one's take. You must remember you are addressing an experienced Lawyer, not a lay person. You can pass that off at kindergarten level. k. There are simply too many holes in it. Typically, everything is nameless, the Seller, the name of the Farm, the name of the fictionalised human rights lawyer, the law firm, and there is conveniently no trace of the money. l. It's about narrative peddling. It need not be credible. It's just unleashed into the social media bubble to achieve character assassination, just like that ED saga that Hopewell, Ali Naka & Hwende infamously fed @ibbosnr. m. Do you think Zimbos are that gullible? And why would you, Hopewell & others protect Chamisa? Why would you not rub your hands with glee & seize the moment to unleash the evidence to the nation - which evidence would surely be guaranteed to achieve your holy grail - sensationally bringing the curtain down on Chamisa's political career? Could you truly resist the urge to do so, to twist the knife, if you genuinely had any such evidence Jealousy? Is that credible? n. For what it's worth, Chamisa has dismissed Hopewell's account as utter fiction, cheap politicking & a figment of his own imagination fabricated to feed his own desperately fragile ego. p. I can assure you that if any such evidence existed, was brought to my attention & stood up to scrutiny, I would join hands with other patriots to draw a line & condemn Chamisa. It's also what I told Prof Ibbo Mandaza in the wake of Ali Naka's amateurish sting op that I have referred to above. q. I would also pose the question - is it remotely credible for Chamisa to be in possession of US$1 million & for the omni-present regime to miss the footprints of this & a golden opportunity to nail Chamisa once & for all on charges that could actually stick? Between the fictionalised Human Rights Lawyer, the non-existent Seller, Jealousy, Hopewell, employees at the Law Firm etc poshaya anyone who alerts the Charlie 10s or the Police? What Is My Gripe? i. Exposing Hopewell's pettiness, intellectual fragility, vacuousness, duplicitousness, rank hypocrisy & penchant for gossiping as well as to hold him to account for his inconsistencies & the devastating consequences they have wrought to our political landscape, especially during key political events in Zimbabwe's history. ii. This must be arrested so that the cycle can be broken, to enable sanity to prevail. The more our people know about his antics, they more they are better equipped to resist falling victim to them and also, perhaps the more likely he is to be discouraged from doing it again. Previous History 1. We were actually previously good friends. He has previously sought legal advice from me, which is covered by legal privilege. I also had a fantastic relationship with his deceased brother, & we share mutual friends across the board. 2. We fell out in the immediate aftermath of the August 2023 elections when I publicly disagreed with him vehemently about what I considered to be biased & lop sided analysis concerning what had transpired, including the Tshabangu saga. 3. I will share the post that resulted in our falling out later. Before blocking me, rather than standing his ground intellectually, he falsely accused me of being dishonest, lied that he had tried to call me to talk about it, accused me of drafting "compositions," using AI (meaning I was misrepresenting what I wrote, falsely claiming it as my own), was a wannabe Magaisa, I wanted to steal his followers & was Chamisa's bootlicker. 4. That is the level of pettiness & insecurity we are talking about. The Magaisa jibe is actually a sore point because not only where we close friends since 1999, but unbeknown to Hopewell & many of his lackeys, I worked with him closely personally & professionally, and actually had the honour of being asked to edit his work - which he was grateful for - all of which can be proven digitally! 5. If I wanted, I could have commenced litigation against him. It is actually still open to me. It was a clear attempt at bullying, harassing, humiliating & silencing me - and many young X users have been inspired by Hopewell to use that jibe! 6. Why would one not be comfortable in their own skin if they have gone to study Law at UZ on merit, practised law in Zim, study for a Masters in Law at Leeds Uni, a top 10 Uni in the UK, practised law in the UK, including running one's own Firm for nearly 20 years, appear as an Advocate in courts in the UK for over 20 years, & set up multiple businesses while also having represented many acclaimed & high value clients? Would that be the kind of convo one would expect to have with a multi-award winning journalist? Hopewell The Wrecking Ball & Duplicitous Character - Using The Coup, August 2023 Elections & Agenda 2030 As The Backdrops a. Despite his many accomplishments, Hopewell is not comfortable in his own skin, and he is certainly not a professional journalist. He retains an abiding ambition to be a politician in his own right. b. When he feels cornered intellectually, he panics & goes personal. He lacks the confidence of staying on course & fighting his way out in a coherent, articulate & persuasive manner. c. Hopewell uses ghost accounts to launch vicious attacks on those he would have blocked & fallen out with. I personally experienced this when his Murewa X ghost account was exposed. d. I say he has got personal ambitions to enter politics because, in the lead up to the August 2023 elections, he called me while he was in Paris. After a while, he paused & asked: "Saka Chamisa ari kumboti chii mazuvano?" trying to dig out some gossip material. e. After he saw that I was not playing ball, he then proposed setting up a political party, saying this had Tendai Biti's blessing - and that of other intellectuals. f. It must be acknowledged that there is nothing wrong with this. It's just that he has to be honest about it, so that when he criticises others, it will be clear that he has got vested interests & also so that he can be held to account on that basis. g. He defo tried this with the GIE project, but he quickly retreated when he received fierce backlash for this. He did not have the backbone to see it through. The Coup Of November 2017 1. During the coup, Hopewell fiercely backed ED & the coup regime that emerged after it. After the coup, he continued to write pro-regime propaganda for considerable periods of time. 2. When he has been asked why he not only supported the coup but went to do PR for it, he argues that while he apologises for doing so, we should all remember that even the opposition supported it as well, but he does not claim his own agency & state in intellectual terms what the attraction was to him as a multi-award winning journalist. 3. He maintained a close personal relationship with the ZEC Chairperson, openly defending her when she was attacked for her alleged affair with Winston Chitando. Even to this day, he rarely criticises her or does so in a restrained manner. 4. He claims to have stopped supported ED at some point but it is not clear when this was so. His deceased brother did disclose that Hopewell's family have been staunch ZANU PF supporters for many years in Murehwa where they hail from, & have extensive, enduring ties. Out of respect to him, I will leave it there. 5. While Hopewell claims that the regime offered him the ZBC Board Chairperson position & turned it down, regime sources allege otherwise. 6. They sensationally allege that Hopewell had actually earmarked Nick Mangwana's post. They argue that there was actually a meeting attended by Hopewell, Chiwenga, ED & a certain figure who is an Author by Profession. 7. Hopewell allegedly disclosed certain sensitive information in that meeting & that was his downfall. It is alleged that it is Chiwenga who allegedly pointed out that if he could betray those he had worked with for so long in such a cavalier fashion, then he could not be relied upon to keep his counsel in equally sensitive assignments for the regime. 8. So the narrative here is that it is the regime that pulled the plug and not the other way as Hopewell claims. 9. This is important, given that I have repeatedly posed the question of what Hopewell's motivation was for choosing to do PR for the regime & that we have not been provided with a credible explanation by Hopewell himself all these years. Once thing is certain though, we all know that Hopewell was not doing that out of benevolence. 10. He was not born yesterday and he certainly knew Chiwenga & ED's chequered history at that point and, despite this, he was comfortable with not only supporting them in general terms, but going over & beyond through doing PR - and this despite knowing that the Constitution had been butchered & many atrocities had been committed. The August 2023 Elections a. It is unclear at what point Hopewell stopped supporting the coup government. However, he ended up being very close to Chamisa & other opposition figures, including Tendai Biti. b. He also occupied a strategic role, and managed to become an integral part of the fundraising team, particularly in relation to "map polling." c. He initially supported "Strategic Ambiguity," in line with his June 2022 post on X, which applauds Chamisa on account of the fact that ZANU PF goons were struggling to identify who to target. d. The turning point in Hopewell's relationship with Chamisa appears to be when Biti lost to Markham via "Bereka Mwana" during the internal party MP prospective candidate polls. e. From that point onwards, he effectively converted his X account into a Biti mouthpiece. He openly campaigned for Chamisa to intervene & appoint Biti as the candidate for that constituency. f. Once this fell on deaf ears, he went into overdrive, at one point falsely stating that there were no structures in Chimanimani & no candidates would be fielded. g. Other flashpoints involved trying to blame Chamisa for the 12 Bulawayo candidates debacle, the economic policy & many other instances, including one where he infamously insinuated that Chamisa attributed some of his decisions to "Mweya Mutsvene." h. After the elections, he went after him relentlessly, holding him culpable for the loss, despite it being a sham election, citing a lack of collective leadership, the absence of a Constitution & Structures, Strategic Ambiguity, absence of Polling Agents etc. He then suggested that there was no point in challenging the sham election & people should simply move on. i. He quickly embraced Tshabangu, whom some of us fiercely argued was ED's proxy fronting the 2030 Agenda / presidential term extension. He insisted he had genuine grievances & was representing senior CCC MPs whom he had met, all the wile relentlessly attacking Chamisa! j. In the end, once it became increasingly clear that his narrative could not be sustained in light of what was transpiring with the by-elections, Hopewell quickly changed tack without acknowledging his role in legitimising Tshabangu's regime enabled antics. k. Tshabangu repeatedly stated that he was working with Biti, Ncube, Hwende & others but Hopewell never once addressed this, all the while continuing to disingenuously attribute the hijacking of CCC to the absence of a Constitution & Structures / Strategic Ambiguity, which Ncube et al also weaponised. l. Eventually, there was an audio which was leaked and allegedly appeared to catch an off guard Biti criticising figures who appeared to be Phulu, Mafume & others (ex PDP cabal) for pursuing the Tshabangu route, infamously recorded saying "anga achapera ega" in what is largely understood to be a deragotory reference to Chamisa. m. In the end, Chamisa eventually resigned from a heavily infiltrated CCC, but not before Biti had pronounced himself to still be the CCC VP before suddenly vanishing from the political landscape after Chamisa's exit. n. Since then, no CCC iteration has provided a new Constitution, held a Congress or announced structures yet Hopewell has been steadfastly quiet on that. The Current Situation 1. Agenda 2030 has finally arrived on our doorstep. Hopewell is once again trolling Chamisa, grandstanding, pontificating & accusing him of refusing to work with Biti's CDF & others in challenging it & weaponising any slight miscommunication by Chamisa to suggest complicity with those supporting Agenda 2030. 2. In addition to this, Hopewell, in a shameless & irresponsible conspiracy with Hwende & Russian sponsored Troll Merchant Ali Naka which was exposed by Prof Ibbo Mandaza to yours truly following an outrageous post he had dropped on X, sensationally claimed that Chamisa had been paid by ED to acquiesce to Agenda 2030 and threatened to release the relevant evidence which they claimed to possess unless if he chose to resign from politics. Analysis i. Hopewell is currently projecting himself as a doyen of democracy & constitutionalism who is courageously putting himself in the line of fire to oppose Agenda 2030. ii. That characterisation is clearly inconsistent with the extensive history cited above where he has clearly been guilty of enabling Tshabangu through legitimising his regime enabled shenanigans. iii. It is clear that Hopewell selectively chooses to attack only Chamisa. He is silent about the role that Biti, Ncube, he himself & others played in enabling Agenda 2030 in its early days through either misreading the situation or being wilfully blind to what was unfolding before them. iv. He hides behind the journalistic tag but, in line with what I have highlighted above, he clearly has political ambitions & is thus biased and has conflicts of interest. v. He comes from a family with extensive ZANU PF ties. His claims of being a human rights defender are thus dubious. This is combined with the fact that he has previously backed the regime to the hilt - a regime that came to power via a coup & thus after mutilating the very constitution he now claims to religiously want to defend - and he also voluntarily chose to take a conscious step towards actively defending that regime, despite its history of egregious human rights violations - which did not end with the coup! vi. It is clear that he lacks the probity, consistency & credibility to project himself in the manner that he currently is while recklessly repeatedly besmirching the reputations of others without any iota of evidence. vii. His use of ghost accounts to attack others maliciously, quickness of propensity to recklessly defame & launch personal attacks on others when defeated intellectually, is consistent with a lack of a moral compass, ethos, sound judgment, fragility of the mind & ego. viii. There is also striking internal contradiction in that a man who has been so readily comfortable to seat at the table with a ruthless regime & choose to work for it can so vehemently & relentlessly attack a young & unarmed opposition leader up against an authoritarian regime armed to the teeth for allegations of failing to have a Constitution & structures - even after previously praising him for it at some point. ix) Over & above that, such a man is at ease having cosy relationships with a woman who has presided after sham election after sham election, defends her, does not condemn her for the sham election, focuses on condemning only one opposition leader, embraces a proxy while pretending to be blind to what's unfolding & also has a cosy relationship with the wife of the regime leader he claims to be vociferously campaigning against! x. He does not take responsibility for his role in supporting the coup in the manner he did & legitimising Tshabangu and providing the much needed cover him & ED needed to begin executing Agenda 2030 in earnest. It's either he is in denial or disingenuous. xi. The above has to be contrasted with how he readily seizes upon & weaponises any slight oversight from Chamisa! Just a mere phrase out of kilter is enough to trigger him. If there is none, he is happy to conspire to peddle character assassinating rumours without the slightest inclination to provide an iota of evidence! xii. If he is put on the spot, he becomes defensive & accuses those seeking accountability from him of "demobilising" the fight against Agenda 2030 yet he consistently unleashed a stream of anti-opposition drivel towards the August 2023 elections such as "the opposition is as dead as a dodo" & "move on" when we were trying to challenge the sham August 2023 elections even after a positive SEOM Final Report! Conclusion For all the above reasons, Hopewell Chin'ono is not a credible character. One has to be cautious around him. He appears to operate in the shadows. He looms large in all recent Zimbabwean major political events & weaponises his large following to misinform & mislead them. He has turned flip flopping into an art, often weaving in & out between the regime & the opposition whimsically to devastating effect, leaving a trail of confused & agitated followers in his wake. He seems to be on a singular, relentless anti-Chamisa crusade to topple him by any means necessary and leave Zimbabwe without any credible opposition. It borders on an obsession. His desperation & malice is betrayed by his willingness to recklessly circulate even malicious & defamatory allegations. There is a difference between measured, objective, well researched criticism & trolling, with the latter being what Hopewell regularly does. He has got his own undeclared political ambitions & stealthily hobnobs with regime elements while publicly claiming to be viscerally opposed to the regime, which is a clearly dangerous trait given Zim's treacherous political landscape. All right thinking Zimbabweans are opposed to Agenda 2030 & CAB3. Some of us were at the forefront of opposing it during its nascent stages, as far back as November 2023. The reason why I was sounding that alarm at the time was to enable early intervention mechanisms which would have nipped this in the bud. Hopewell actively encouraged the implosion of CCC through churning out pro-Biti drivel on his account while patronising Tshabangu. It is that which emboldened & enabled ED to go for the full jugular, because Hopewell was busy misinforming his followers that Tshabangu had primarily succeeded due to the absence of structures & a constitution! Now here we are. Zimbabwe, which is properly constituted is now having its Constitution being brazenly mutilated by ED, with attempts being made to smuggle a provision which is clearly outlawed, requires 2 referendums & which an incumbent cannot benefit from! Naturally, we are taken aback when those who sought to silence us then now suddenly want to cast themselves as vanguards of the defence against the Constitution - when they previously enabled the very actions which have brought us here! It's perverse & tantamount to rank madness! An utter farce! If he is sincere, the first port of call is to take responsibility for the positions he has taken in supporting the coup, doing PR work for it, embracing & legitimising Tshabangu, misleading Biti & stepping away from rumour mongering, peddling false, malicious & defamatory allegations & the cowardly & pernicious use of ghost accounts, surreptitiously maintaining ties with regime figures & not holding them to account! Of course I am absolutely aghast, I make no bones about that! How can a decorated Journalist like Hopewell wreak so much havoc for so long, obstinately claiming to be charting a righteous path, odiously get it so wrong, only to then make a volte face and say lets join hands together to seek redress on the very edifice he has been partially but prominently responsible for constructing, an outcome so very clearly foreseeable & preventable? How? And we should just accept this quietly as if nothing has happened? The intervention is hopelessly late because so much time was wasted in the past! It's irrecoverable! The best bulwark against 2030 was a united CCC under Chamisa, which Hopewell contributed to destroy out of spite, in furtherance of Biti's misconceived grand political ambitions! Curiously, as soon as Chamisa left, Biti announced a political sabbatical! Nxa!

Totally misleading, deliberately malicious, mendacious and vexatious allegations meant to tarnish the image and good standing of @nelsonchamisa ! Mawarire @mawarirej , you have since become another troll assuming a morally high ground attacking Cdes who have been genuinely pushing for democracy and equality in this country whilst you were busy abducting, torturing and murdering innocent Zimbabweans. You should answer to your crimes first before seeking to lecture opposition figures on how the struggle can be prosecuted !
mawarire mbizvo jealousy@mawarirej

Cde, you might be innocently doing your bidding for your guy @nelsonchamisa, which is good, he needs your support, but do so based on accurate information. If he is sending you to attack and besmirch real and perceived political opponents, it is imperative you ask him to give you accurate accounts of some of the things you are using to attack his political foes. I want to correct you on one thing you mentioned in your X post that I have quoted herein for easy of reference. Those who have "reliably informed" you that "Hopewell also has a very close relationship with ED's wife, the First Lady", should have told you the genesis of that relationship. As you put it, "Hopewell ALSO has a close relationship with ED's wife", did you take time to ask who else has the same relationship with ED's wife? If your source was as reliable as you are claiming here, he/she should have told you that your guy, @nelsonchamisa, ALSO "has a close relationship with ED's wife, the First Lady." Chamisa is the one who introduced Hopewell to Auxillia Mnangagwa. I will give you the details and pictures of the meeting which started the purported relationship you are going to town about. Chamisa organized a meeting for him to meet with Benson Muneri, Auxillia Mnangagwa's aide, and requested Hopewell to host the meeting at his house in Chisipite, Harare. At the meeting, your guy, @nelsonchamisa, asked Hopewell to go and meet Auxillia, on his behalf, for a political deal. Anyway, I will not delve into details about the deal but suffice to say your guy is very liquid as we speak. Two months ago, he drove to some farm in Mashonaland West with $1 million cash in his car intending to pay for the farm. The owner was scared of handling such a huge amount of cash. He instructed your guy to deposit the money with his lawyer in Harare. That's where things became interesting. It turned out the seller's lawyer is an old human rights lawyer known to Chamisa through years of interaction in the democratic struggle. Chamisa, fearing that his little secret, that he is keeping millions of dollars in cash, chickened out of the deal the moment he learnt the seller's lawyer was this renowned female human rights lawyer. So, that's your guy, he is keeping millions of dollars in cash like he is one of the Zvigananda. So when you talk about people with "a relationship with ED's wife", remember, your guy has a very strong one with the same First Lady. They call each other brother and sister because they're both of the Moyo totem but the relationship sometimes turns to amaiguru-bamunini when ethnic Karanga politics is invoked. Saka kupotsera dope, rimwe rinosara muruoko my brother.

I am painfully having to respond to this for the sake of meaningful dialogue, and I hope we will have that dialogue meaningfully to focus on the real devil in Zimbabwe which is @edmnangagwa It is in the spirit of dialogue that I hope we will navigate this issue @zimbabweyauya and I hope we will soberly reach a logical conclusion quickly so we remain focused to stopping Agenda 2030. We are literally a few hours from official national processes by @ZANUPF_Official to effect the evil CAB3 such that we cannot afford the luxury to focus on fictional psyops on the victimhood of individuals and personalities - the major national issue here is the NATIONAL CONSTITUTION that is at imminent risk of mutilation. It is about the soul of Zimbabwe; democracy, livelihoods - our collective future is under threat and it is only normal for all right thinking citizens to focus on the major issue. I note you have mentioned @BMutebuka but he is the face of coordinated and unwarranted diversionary attacks on @BitiTendai and @freemanchari solely on the basis that they are virtuously coordinating the resistance against ZanuPf’s Agenda 2030 under the auspices of @cdfzim. He is working overdrive to ‘sow the seeds of division’ you are mentioning and we don’t have to meet him to understand that he is a sensational conspiracy theorist whose conduct doesn’t resemble that of a ‘seasoned lawyer and businessman’ as you describe him. His unwarranted anti-CDF obsession which has seen him go into overdrive baseless yet visibly coordinated vitriol against Tendai Biti that makes him write very long politically defamatory loud sounding are pitiful and well credits those he targets for their silence and continued focus on fight ZanuPf to stop CAB3. Tendai Biti had/has nothing to do with Tshabangu, and Mr Mutebuka hasn’t yet come up with a justification on why he obsessively targets him nevertheless. As such, it will only be normal for anyone to see through him that he indeed is on an agenda to create narratives that divert attention on the people’s national fight against CAB3 as led by CDF from the frontline. Let us all unite to resist Agenda 2030 and DEMAND REFERENDA for any constitutional amendments aimed to extend the term of office for elected officials! PICK A STRUGGLE…. It’s hard being @nelsonchamisa I have been busy at workshops the last two days and catching up on Twitter … there is a narrative that apparently if anyone raises an opinion especially questioning the intentions of those that supported Tshabangu who are now also purporting to be against the bill … then that person has been sent by Nelson Chamisa …. This is a sophisticated way to SILENCE or gag people from voicing their opinions… wat happened with Tshabangu was extremely heartbreaking … and even at that time some of us said that move was to support Mnangagwa’s illegitimate incumbency beyond the be next election … Y’all need to live with fact that this will live in people’s minds for a long long time !!! Interestingly the same voices instead of helping us fight against Tshabangu they were on an anti Chamisa parade …. So when folk raise it instead of attempting to gag them by saying they have been sent …. Why not apologise so we all move on if truly you have been to Damascus… why is the response to bash Chamisa Maybe some of you have never met the likes of @BMutebuka who is a seasoned lawyer and businessman . I can’t imagine anyone sending Brighton even kunotora sauti . He acts from his own volition ….. This is a moment for all of us to work together why breed seeds of division what is the end goal ? Comrades pick a struggle are you anti Chamisa or anti 2030 ????? I have spent all week sharing CDF petitions - liking Freeman’s post to appreciate the hard work - but now feels like I am walking into an anti Chamisa armbush 😭😭😭😭💔💔 CAB3 is a @edmnangagwa cum @zanupf_patriots idea we will do well to stay focussed @freemanchari @VaChivi_ @BMutebuka @BitiTendai @TreasureBasopo @MacBelts @BhudhiGhivhi @MakomboreroH This is extremely disappointing fix it somebody !!!! #noto2030 #notoCAB3 Sign the petition change.org/CitizensPetiti…

Nxa!

Hands Off Gen. Mkhwanazi! A society that doesn’t protect whistleblowers is doomed to become a mafia state! They have already killed Babita. What do you think they will do to Mkhwanazi? He must be shielded from all petty, egotistical, pompous & parasitic attacks! All who try to reduce his mission to “personality fight ”, or even factions within the SAPS are all wrong. Journalists, politicians & many experts have been peddling of this line. What this line seeks to do, is to neutralise the correct momentum against SAPS generals who have protected, advanced & benefitted from organised criminals with the endorsed of top politicians. Mkhwanazi’s mission is simple: Organised criminals are embedded with top politicians & top generals, and they must all be exposed and meet the full might of the law! Fact: All who oppose Gen. Mkhwanazi are not with the people! That is the bottom line! If Mkhwanazi doesn’t win this battle, which is a peoples battle, then ours will become a banana republic, a mafia state ruled by men with guns! Society must defend itself!
