The onky reason Russia had it worse is because their shitty Communist econony couldn't build good weapons and forced them to use meat wall tactics to beat Germany. Lend/lease from America was the only reason they survived at all.

@RealSamPitts @LilPota2 @katewillett they certainly can, it's why there was so much egalitarian soviet propaganda during and after the war. however it contributed to the death of the russian baby boom which only lasted 2 years (along with famine and squalor). they missed out on tens of millions of kids

I actually don’t understand how France has 69 million people. Where are they? 5 largest cities: Paris 2 million Marseille 0.8MM Lyon 0.5MM Toulouse 0.5Mm Nice 0.3MM Where are they all hiding? In the countryside? The “big” cities are so tiny.
