@botthehigh @jahimes The statement is intended to mean, that even though there has been election interference for decades, our President should have been celebrating that no countries interference in our elections succeeded and that we had & have free fair elections.
English

No. It’s not. This is the intelligence community (made up of competent patriots, therefore foreign to you) working together to produce carefully crafted reporting.

Shocking stuff.

@Paulgated99 @jahimes agree. but the precedent has been set. wall to wall coverage about "russian interference" for years. What did Obama/Biden say about 2016 election since they were in charge then?
English

Donald Trump just lied to the American people. Make no mistake, he is laying the foundation so that if Election Day goes badly for Republicans he can turned around and claim foul play by our adversaries.
Our elections continue to be safe and secure from foreign interference, but it’s increasingly clear that the greatest threat to our democracy is the President himself.
English

@Paulgated99 @jahimes not sure what your last sentence means, but I agree with your first 3. 2016 was the first year that everyone went nuts and hyperbolic over something that has happened for decades.
English

@botthehigh @jahimes Every country in the fucking world, including the USA has tried to interfere in other countries elections. It’s not a surprise. It’s not shocking. What is shocking is, the president of the United States doesn’t celebrate that the interference did not affect the election

Hard to feel like Norway haven't been completely hard done by. Between conceding a goal that touched the skycam, to having a goal ruled out for a 50/50 challenge in the box, to awarding Pickford a foul after he bashed into his own teammate...some very bizarre decisions today.

@theodictator The players definitely lost the game. But in a really horrible way. And the point was that Pocchetino was hired to win that game, since Rd of 16 had been our ceiling.
English

First disagreement with lalas generally.
The players lost that game.

No, I think Pochettino did a really good job of injecting national pride and passion into this USMNT. His flaw (or failure) was losing the game that he was hired to win, and losing it in a way that undid much of the good the team had amassed through the tournament.
