I agree with Maloti on this one. Originality remains one of the most powerful assets an artist can have. While foreign music continues to inspire and entertain audiences worldwide, it is important for artists to resist the urge to imitate it. When an artist chooses to create within globally dominant genres like hip hop, comparisons become inevitable often against industry giants such as Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, or 50 Cent. Competing at that level is extremely challenging and can make it difficult to stand out. However, artists who embrace and develop original Zimbabwean sounds and genres position themselves uniquely not only locally, but also on the global stage. Authenticity creates distinction, and distinction builds lasting recognition. We have seen this with artists like Jah Prayzah, Feli Nandi, and Alick Macheso, whose success is rooted in originality. While excelling in foreign genres is not impossible as demonstrated by Winky D it requires exceptional talent and consistency that not every artist can replicate. In essence, originality is not just a creative choice it is a strategic one. Artists who remain authentic to their identity are more likely to build sustainable and impactful careers.

It’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL to do a Referendum when the Constitution doesn’t demand it… Referendums are not done as a show of support, they are done because the Law demands that they must done. We can’t waste money on something not required by law…

Our people say: Kugara nhaka huona dzavamwe… Zimbabwe is a sovereign nation, it creates its own systems in line with its own interests. However, we can learn/copy some systems that work in other countries…. The Parliamentary System is the MOST COMMON system in the world… The OLDEST & MOST SUCCESSFUL democracies use it…. President @edmnangagwa has experienced both systems, he is LEAVING us with the BEST…. This is not being done for ED, it’s for ALL Zimbabweans … whether you are ZANU PF or not, we will all use this new system….

Seeing the controversy generated by the proposed constitutional amendments, is it not time to consider a less divisive way forward that will allow a reset? The President could dissolve Parliament in terms of Section 158 as read with S143 of the Constitution and call for Parliamentary and Presidential elections before August 2026. No one is disqualified from contesting. The time served since August 2023 is less than 3 years and is thus not a term. Therefore, the incumbents will be entitled to contest without violating the Constitution. And the Constitution will be saved.
