Satellite imagery shows large numbers of bodies lying in the streets & near the berm (an earthen wall the UAE-RSF created to entrap civilians). Those attempting to cross it were executed while trying to flee. The RSF is also carrying out door-to-door killings, targeting non-Arab communities.

"This morning new arrivals came in with clothes soaked in blood and torn by thorns from the desert along the way. Their condition is heartbreaking. Everyone here is deeply worried about El Fasher and those who couldn't leave. We have no information about them at all." Sudanese humanitarian worker to @Avaaz

Concerned about reports of significant RSF advances in El Fasher, Sudan. Vital that RSF and their political alliance, Ta’sis, do everything to honour their commitments to protect civilians, ensure safe passage and adhere to international humanitarian law. The world is watching.

🚨HUMAN SECURITY EMERGENCY🚨 El-Fasher has fallen to RSF. HRL finds evidence of mass killings including door-to-door clearance operations and objects consistent with reported bodies on berm entrapping El-Fasher. #KeepEyesOnSudan 🛰️@AirbusSpace @Maxar medicine.yale.edu/lab/khoshnood/…

Siham Hassan a former member of Sudan’s Parliament who ran community Kitchen’s to feed the hungry and starving in her home city of Al Fashir was executed by RSF militiamen earlier today. انالله واناالیه راجعون

As fighting intensifies in El Fasher and more civilians seek safety from the violence, the RSF must act now to protect civilians and prevent further suffering. We call on RSF leaders to continue to issue and publicly communicate clear orders to their forces to ensure the safety of civilians, humanitarian personnel, and aid operations. Humanitarian corridors must be opened immediately to allow civilians to reach areas of safety. The world is watching El Fasher and the RSF’s actions with deep concern.

It is a painful day to be Sudanese. The sheer horrors unfolding in Al-Fashir and wanton killing marks the start of the janajweed regin in Darfur under Emarati patronage.

I also recalled that sanctions against ICC judges impacts those not only directly targeted but also on victims of the most grave crimes, legal academics and human rights practitioners whose work supports ICC investigations. They also have a secondary impact in the work of the ICC across all situations. (3/4)
