祖父は現役の科学者で、高齢ながらもAIを日常の研究に活用しております。彼の書斎をふと覗いた際、この年で研究を続けることに加えてAIも駆使していることに誇りを感じました。しかし、それ以上にその一風変わった使い方に驚きました。
祖父はAIと会話を開始する際「温かくなってきましたが、いかがお過ごしでしょうか。」などと冒頭で必ず挨拶をしていたのです。
私は自ずと、そのような丁寧な挨拶は必要ないんだと言いかけました。しかし、すぐに思いとどまりました。なぜなら、誰からも見られていないところでさえ紳士に振る舞うその姿から、どんなに技術が発展しても、人間性は普遍であると気付かされたからです。
