On a personal note: I will never forget what Phil Garner did for my late wife as she was being treated for cancer at MD Anderson. His memory will forever be a blessing to my family and me.

Former #Astros manager Phil Garner passed away Saturday.. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer two years ago. Phil took over as manager summer of 2004 just as I started at KPRC and got to know he and his family. Last April he threw out the first pitch. Prayers up for his family 🙏
