@tomgodber We sent the termination notice to your registered email address on 21st Dec with reminders on 18th Jan and today. Your account has not yet been locked and you can export your keys also when locked. You can read more about the background in our blog:

@boxcryptor you sent a single email July last year (while I was in holiday, filtered by Gmail into a folder I didn't look in), and because I didn't click a button you terminate my account? The without follow up, on Jan 1st you locked my account, with another email I didn't see?

@AnneFitz13 If your account has access to an encrypted file, you will continue to be able to decrypt the file regardless what happens to other users. There's a direct decryption path from your own user's keys to the encrypted file. Free users can also still be invited to your organization.

@ricodude99 @BoxcryptorDE @Dropbox Even with a locked account you can sign in to boxcryptor.com and export your keys. You can then use the exported key file to sign in to the Boxcryptor app via a local account as stated in the migration guide.

@boxcryptor @boxcryptorDE @dropbox has just shutdown my account and left me with no way to access my most important files. The migration guide says to use the app to decrypt the files, but the app won't let me sign in because my account is locked. This is a nightmare.

I've bad news: #BoxCryptor sold the business to DropBox, and the service will be closed soon. On top of that, they decided to suspend all Ukrainian accounts because of sanctions

@rdouma_app Hi Remco, Boxcryptor officially supports only Finder. Other file managers might also be compatible, but we don't specifically optimize for them.

@boxcryptor Can I access files using another file manager than Finder, such as ForkLift? Since Ventura I no longer see “Boxcryptor” between disks anymore.
