This fight is playing out the way many American fans expected Crawford vs Spence to. But Nakatani is proving that he is no media creation, he’s legit elite. I haven’t seen this much skill on display between two opponents in a long time. Inoue is just on another level.

@B_Honest_Boxing Agreed. But I do think there is an element of being unfamiliar. Instead of admitting they haven't seen him, or worse, taking the time to actually watch him, they'd rather dismiss him. I saw it with PrideFC in its heyday. UFC fans shit on it, but had no clue what they were missing

Perhaps I'm only focusing on the negative, but there seems to be a lot of people on this app who keep waiting around for Inoue to lose, so they can have a "gotcha" moment. Why are so many against him? Is it mainly bc they can't catch his fights live, due to the time difference?

@arielhelwani I used to follow MMA religiously, and still consider myself somewhat of a casual, and I couldn't even tell u who he is fighting. I will give u this, though, I do know the name Sean Strickland, and I only know it bc I recognize him as the guy who says cringe shit and simps love it

In the society we live in, with the social media we consume, Sean Strickland may be showing us how you sell a fight in 2026. Outrage sells, and to some degree, it feels like this is authentically him. Ten years ago, I don’t know that this would have flown, but it’s a different world. All the rules have changed. He may be putting out the blueprint. It does make for an interesting build, and I think it’s safe to say this is the most anticipated fight of the Paramount era thus far.

Also had an amazing rivalry with Daisuke Sekimoto + awesome mixed tag w/ Hikaru Shida vs. Asuka & Kenny Omega.

You could put Masato Tanaka’s 50 best matches up against any other wrestler’s 50 best, and he’s still doing it at that level today. ☠️👑
