@boycottpump Charity mode so that they can get tax breaks from the fees they used to give to creators. Before the update the creators used to get the fees and then they send them to charity if it was a charitable coin. Pump did not benifit from it now they benifit from all sides.

Every problem the trenches has right now can be traced back to Alon failing to see what Satoshi foresaw very clearly with BTC. Hear me out. Satoshi knew that to prevent miners from acting maliciously, they had to risk something. That’s the whole point of PoW — it forces high energy and hardware costs, giving miners real skin in the game. The same principle applies to devs. Problem is, Alon isn’t Satoshi. By removing both the technical and monetary barriers (coding knowledge and LP costs) from launching, Pumpfun guaranteed three things: Everyone could launch for free Devs no longer had skin in the game Malicious behavior (soft rugs) would be overpowered So devs migrated to rugs. Holders countered by selling early. So devs rugged earlier. Holders countered by selling even earlier. Rinse, repeat. That’s why jeet culture is so prevalent on SOL. Traders were conditioned in a death spiral of rugs and early exits. It’s not their fault — it’s a broken system. Pumpfun didn’t just slow progress in the space, it actively reversed it. A culture built on malicious behavior can’t evolve, and the space has been degrading ever since. That’s why volume was dead even with BTC at $120k. That’s why things are this bad right now. And that’s why I keep saying: until volume leaves @Pumpfun, we’re stuck in a permanent memecoin bear market.
