This is one of the dumbest things I've heard in a long time.
Jagmeet Singh's brother just said that because there are strong guys at the gym who have access to weight plates, it justifies Sikhs wielding a dagger in a gym, school or in a hospital.

Jagmeet Singh’s brother, Gurratan Singh, goes on a rant about Sikhs receiving a Supreme Court ruling allowing the kirpan (knife) to be worn in public under freedom of religion. But he conveniently ignores that the same Charter also contains Section 15, guaranteeing equality before and under the law. If we’re all equal, according to these people, why are some groups granted special legal exemptions and accommodations, especially groups that were not present at Confederation and played no role in founding Canada? Equal rights should mean the same rules for everyone, with no favourites. This guy loves quoting our Charter when it suits him.

This is what a Toronto laundromat looks like in 2026.
Two women trying to force a massive area rug into a commercial washing machine that was clearly never designed for it.
Rug half on the floor, people pushing and wrestling with it, the entire area turning into a disaster zone while other customers just stand there watching.
This isn’t funny anymore. It’s embarrassing.
We used to have basic common sense in this country. You don’t treat shared public facilities like your personal backyard. You don’t destroy equipment that doesn’t belong to you. You don’t create a mess for everyone else because you can’t be bothered to figure out how things actually work.
This kind of scene is becoming too common in too many Canadian cities.
Public spaces, transit, parks, beaches, laundromats — the same pattern. Zero respect for the space, zero concern for the people around you, zero interest in adapting to how a functional Western society operates.
Import enough people who don’t share those basic expectations and this is exactly what you get.
Toronto didn’t become like this by accident.
