@youwouldntpost We should travel together. I have a great time looking at things and saying "wow this would have been so cool to experience if this city hadn't been reduced to rubble...😔"
English

@ughfinewhatever There should be a subreddit for this because I would join in half a second

@MuseZack The Modernist Cuisine is not at all "general interest" but it does go into this in some parts. Basically tl;dr but China is prob the only place with a modern cuisine close to its ancient one. Because of course most places with a coastline were mostly cured meats and salted fish
English

I would love to read a general interest book about how pretty much every major world cuisine as we know it was completely reinvented over a period of 50-100 years in the wake of the Colombian exchange--chilis coming to India and China, tomatoes to Italy, etc. etc.

Just remember: Not a single European, much less any Italian, had eaten a tomato until the 16th century.

@LazuliteHalcyon @themediawitch @chronicallybeee I also say this as someone who has multiple mistakes in my personal charts with the majority of my own doctors. And I've made requests for amendments and without fail, next time I have to give a history at an appt the mistakes remain 😣
English

@LazuliteHalcyon @themediawitch @chronicallybeee I read provider notes all day every day. Some with an AI disclaimer on them, some with a Dragon Dictation disclaimer on them, some with no disclaimers on them, and they have errors across the board. It's pretty bleak tbh even if asking. I truly have yet to find a way around it
English

@latkedelrey .....what? I never heard this and it doesn't feel like that for me at all?
I had a contrast MRI within the last year even, wtf y'all are in the machines feeling like you pissed yourselves??
English

@madisontayt_ The funniest part of this is I'm 99% sure he heard someone say muumuu at some point and thinks that it applies to all dresses somehow
English

@nintendo_pro_03 @GAIAAENEAS This is anecdotal for sure, not negating that some don't do this, but it's not just one kid or one school that I've heard of. My coworkers are all remote and across multiple states, etc.
English

@nintendo_pro_03 @GAIAAENEAS My niece, nephew, and all coworkers kids are out early every Wednesday. The school nearby my house has a sign that says they are also out early release every Wednesday too. Its a lot. And the ages I know of are elementary through high school. I've seen others online say the same
English

@NastPlays "like and follow for part 2!" No. It's a cake recipe. Post it. Your "crazy" lil story is 30 seconds long when you get to the point why do you have it as a 6 part mini series?
English

@yeeeerika There are times where I'd rather have a giant "GameFAQ" style text document to read through if/when I'm stuck in a video game than an 8 minute video with 3 minutes of intro and preamble, another 3 minutes of sponsors, and 1.25 minutes of outro.
Get. To. The. Point.

@alisonaglitter On the opposite side, I answer my work phone with "[Business name], [department name], how can I help you?" And majority of the response are "what's your name, who am I talking to, how are you?" It's General Zod leave me tf alone what do you need from THIS BUSINESS
English

@yeeeerika When I call a place of business, younger staffers answer with "Hello?" instead of the name of the business.
So I assume I've misdialed. And I say, "Oh sorry, is this [Café Name]?" and they go "Uh, yeah" and I'm like...why didn't you say so?
English

@GAIAAENEAS Soooooooo many schools have early release EVERY Wednesday now. It blows my mind.
English

@yeeeerika Weekdays during school hours
Why are kids at the store and not in school??!
English

@itsh_98 @lucygraykatniss @Nostalgia150360 @flynnslick There's even more endings but they're not as common iirc and mostly similar to the street anyway
English

@itsh_98 @lucygraykatniss @Nostalgia150360 @flynnslick There's the self-aborts ending (which I remember seeing when it came out too and I think that person is referring to) but the most common one on streaming platforms is he never befriends her at all and they pass each other on a busy street as white collar adults and strangers
English

@lucygraykatniss @Nostalgia150360 @flynnslick You might be in luck lol. It has multiple endings. The one on streaming platforms currently ends differently than the version you saw
English

@Nostalgia150360 @flynnslick I just hated the message in the end that the world was better when he wasn’t born at all.
English

@ClaireEFallon Literally I got an English degree and it was such an ongoing joke about my lack of skills and options at the time. Now years and years later apparently I'm an elite? Congrats, high horse, you're coming home with meeeeee
English

@confusionm8trix For example every annotation in Dracula would be "excessively gay" and every annotation in the Steve Jobs biography would be "lying disgusting bitch"

English

@jaxonsburner @GracieLynn1016 @GoodReddit That's a lil different for sure. My intro is to say they reached my department and ask how I can help. Someone asking for my name or how I am after that is a GIANT red flag. Luckily the calls are recorded so they can call back and misrepresent all they want..
English

@bpdd @GracieLynn1016 @GoodReddit Well, asking is the wrong term cause most people lead with hello my name is blank. How can I help you and then I respond with hello Blanca how are you doing today or something along those lines.
English

@jaxonsburner @GracieLynn1016 @GoodReddit I don't think this is bad advice necessarily but just be cautious because like for me when someone starts by asking my name it immediately shuts me down. I'm not here to chat, and 90% of the time they only want my name so they can lie about what I said later
English

@GracieLynn1016 @GoodReddit I’ve noticed that when I start calls by asking the customer service rep their name and how they’re doing There is an immediate tone shift in their voice
