BPS is the only school in bayside to not receive any capital funding for decades. 2/3 of students are taught in demountable classrooms that are upto 50 yrs old. It’s not fair on the kids who deserve better. Help us change this by signing the petition. parliament.vic.gov.au/assembly/petit…

Hi @adamlcarey, Brighton Primary School also supports students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Most of our students learn in 14 relocatable classrooms over 50 yrs old, next to a noisy train line & some contain asbestos. Pls visit our school to see for yrself. School Council

Students across Victoria start NAPLAN testing today and I wish each and every one of them the best of luck. From this year our changes to NAPLAN will provide more informative and useful information to schools, parents and carers.

Reading is one of the most vital skills our children and young people can learn from an early age, and it’s also a wonderful pastime. The Premiers’ Reading Challenge is a fantastic way of supporting this.

After an $8.5m investment Dandenong HS now has a new STEM and food tech classrooms (and of course a canteen). This is the 2nd recent upgrade & each has provided better facilities for our teachers to do what they do best. @GabbyWilliamsMP + I were honoured to be able to open it!

This week I officially opened the new Building A and basketball courts at Oakleigh PS with my colleague @Steve_Dimo. The Victorian Government has invested over $13 million in upgrading this fantastic school, so kids in Oakleigh can do their very best learning. #educationstate

Fantastic corn fritters! Today, I visited Surfside PS with Alison Marchant MP to see its kitchen garden which won a School Garden Program award for Best School Garden Exhibiting Biodiversity last year. 🌽

State-of-the art performance spaces for Albert Park College and Victorian College of the Arts SC students are on the horizon. I met with students, principals Stephen Cook and Hillary Bland and @NinaTaylorMP to visit the future site of this amazing facility.
