Gray Joined the administration soon after Moore was sworn in. She left Moore's office briefly in 2024. During that time she was deputy research director for the Biden, then Harris, campaign for president before returning to the Office of the Governor.

Office of the governor named Elizabeth Gray the new Deputy Communications Director. The announcement came in an email to staff early Friday afternoon. She is currently Director of Research and Strategic Communications. She assumes her new role on April 15.

Intersting debate in the Maryland General Assembly over Sb 618, legislation that would clear the way for lawmakers to take government jobs in State, local and municipal government. It's a practice that has been banned - for the most part - for almost 30 years.

A second senator from the same county was also ordered to give up a government job in the same county. He filed a lawsuit in January against the ethics committee but withdrew it when he lost a fight to obtain a temporary restraining order
