@dryfly_whodat @NewReaganCaucus Phalanxs, and train up not just afmored infantry and tanks, but also higher command staff, intelligence, and government staff, and give them finding enough to start bribing entire battalions over on the mainland. Have you seen Congress give him the money for any of that?

@dryfly_whodat @NewReaganCaucus Turkey will hate the Kurds being armed, but not the Azeri. We learned from Obama you can't just hand cash and military equipment to a President and expect a military force to stand up. He failed in Syria. US would need to seize every island, set up enclaves protected by

@talkrealopinion The US leaving NATO would mean losing military control over Europe. Everyone would be happy if the US would mind its business and kept its military within its borders.

The US leaving NATO would mean losing the protection of powerful allies like Latvia or Estonia, leaving the US vulnerable to Russian aggression.

@KeluargaBuaya @talkrealopinion Russia poses no threat to the US. They won't invade Alaska. However, Russia is a attractive potential ally to counter the EU and China. Last time the US funded Russia, they conquered Eastern Europe.

@SenRandPaul There is Supreme Court Precident on this, Trump has the right to leave a military alliance, but needs Congress to sign a alliance into law.

President Trump is right to strongly consider leaving NATO. I support the President’s constitutional authority under Article II to withdraw from any treaty — including NATO — without needing Senate approval. Congress tried to block that with the 2023 Kaine-Rubio provision in the NDAA, but the Constitution grants the executive power to the president. thehill.com/homenews/admin…

Marco Rubio in 2023 - "No U.S. President should be able to withdraw from NATO without Senate approval. " Now that Trump is threatening to withdraw from NATO again... WHERE IS HE? Speak up, Marco!

Trump says he's considering leaving NATO. Good, decent democratic nations don't need authoritarian partners. We'll be fine without Uncle Donald.

@RasmusJarlov Ukraine is a way more important ally for our future than the US.

As a European, I am not afraid that the USA will leave NATO. We already know that they do not have good intentions to Europe and that we, therefore, have to build our defence to be able to fight without the Americans. We are well on our way and it will happen a lot faster if the USA leaves NATO officially. Russia is too weak and small to be a long term threat to Europe. They simple can not match what we can produce. As long as we keep Ukraine from falling, Russia is also not a threat to us in the short term. So if the USA leaves NATO, it is simple for us: Keep Ukraine from falling at all costs and build up European defence and weapon production as fast as humanly possible. We can and we will do that and Europe will be absolutely fine and safe.

@Politically_Int @seanhannity If I had to chose between Rubio and the US Constitution, I would back the Constitution. Trump has the authority to pull out unilaterally. Congress can't bar him in this.

@seanhannity NATO isn’t charity, it’s one of the biggest US strategic advantages we have! We get bases, intelligence& allied troops without footing the (WHOLE) bill. Also, I agree with Rubio from 2023!

@seanhannity Does it matter what we vote? Congress must approve a withdrawal from NATO and they stopped listening to us a long time ago. We need a whole new Congress.

@seanhannity I think nato is a a waste of money and time. But congress needs to approve it and it won’t happen. They should vote and see position of congress. USA can say no more Ukraine but Ukraine is probably more valuable a partner than France and Spain.

If President Trump doesnt get congress approval to withdraw from nato he can always write an EO or command to shut down all the military bases, withdraw all our military troops and have zero presence in those nations without congress. So nato would just be paper like President Trump has said

The problem isn't NATO. The problem is crap political leadership in both this country and Europe. We are not living during the era of Reagan, Thatcher, Kohl, and John Paul II.

@laplacian28 Those carriers allow us to project power around the globe. We have no allies in Europe deserving of respect. Respect has to be earned. Europe is decadent and in decay. Barely reacts anymore to outside stimuli.

What is your alternative, anyways? You can either treat Allies with respect and continue being able to project power around the globe, or be a regional power with a bunch of carriers. The choice is yours to make.
Department of State@StateDept

SECRETARY RUBIO: Why are we in NATO? You have to ask that question. Why do we send trillions of dollars and have all of these American forces stationed in the region, if in our time of need, we won't be allowed to use those bases?

If Trump crashes NATO, fine. NATO dies and we learn to forge alliances in the national interest again. Strategic decisions for us and our people, not endless American backed foreign wars. You're not the only one who can play the great game, Mr President.
