@Butterme287760 It was bad defending to come from that side. The push from Salah that you’re referring to is the strength I also talked about. Salah is so strong. His primary job should be to cover the post area first, not going on the wrong side. He recovered though, which is good

Hate to be the devil’s advocate but the initial defending from Khusanov was poor. At academy level, we’re taught to cover the post first, he picked the wrong side, and that’s because he underrated Salah’s strength. On the flip side, look at Guehi😭

He probably didn't even know mbappe was open because in the heat of the moment all he was focused on was the ball and getting it past the keeper. Catching a volley like that takes insane focus and taking a shot was more safer
