BRA Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management

An agreement B/w the BRA DoHADM and UNICEF on preventing the diversion of aid donations, the Director of DoHADM, the Senior Adviser of SODMA, Mr. Abdulqadir , have discussed and agreed to create a legal framework to control aid diversion for IDPs @unicefsomalia @SoDMA_Somalia

Thanks to BRA, the Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, who emphasis that Humanitarian Coordination in Somalia is crucial, both government and humanitarian agencies should coordinate to prevent overlapping, promote transparency and collaboration.

To commemorate the World Environment Day 2023, the Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the BRA together with the African Solutions and local youth groups have carried out Beach Cleaning at the Xamar Jajab Beach. Thanks to @Sida & @UNDPSomalia.

Today @MRCMogadishu hosted @IOM_Somalia & @unicefsomalia joint two-day training on “Children on the move: Assisted Voluntary Return and Protection”. MRC Mogadishu Staff, representatives from @MWomenHRD and @SWDC_ORG participated in the training program.

BRA Directorate of Humanitarian Affairs & Disaster Mgt signed #MoU 4 Collaboration with @drcEA_GL. The MoU will lead to strengthen the communication & collaboration BW DRC & BRA to closely work together on the best ways to serve 4 the most vulnerable communities in Benadir Region

...@MRCMogadishu staff welcomed & arranged an iftar gathering dinner for 15 Somali returnees to #Mogadishu on April 2021. Our team introduced our activates, including the assistance, integration & awareness programs we do 4 the youth. Finally, we agreed to have good coordination.

May God give patience and faith to the families affected by last night's rains in Mogadishu. The information we are getting is that 7 children are died 7 years old and the youngest is one month old died, may God bless their families.
