This SpiceDAO farce raises an interesting question. If a DAO commits a crime, who does the legal system go after? Does the voting mechanism absolve individual members from culpability?
Cory Doctorow NO LONGER ON TWIT TER@doctorow
@_loveallthis @hondanhon They have a secondary argument which they've also feinted at, which is slightly more interesting and definitely gnarlier, namely: "Our org is programmatic and executes instructions based on the votes of governance tokens, and they voted for this and now our hands are tied."

The umbrage taken in the thread! Everyone needs to agree to cultural ground rules that only one blockchain can have only one link to a digital asset hosted on some server. Decentralize, take out the gatekeepers, then get mad that gatekeepers can’t protect NFT assets. #NFTwtf

Sadly I'm going to have to completely shut down my entire @DeviantArt gallery as people keep stealing my art and making NFTs. I can't - and shouldn't have to - report each one and make a case, which is consistently ignored. Sad and frustrating.
