@DarrylJelly That’s 100% a foul. You see the defenders momentum to change after he’s shoved, if he isn’t shoved he heads it away comfortably!

@casuals30261 There’s two hands in the back of our defender as he challenges for the ball. Naturally, I believe it should be a free-kick to us. I’m sure that you’ll believe it was clearly won and the goal rightly stood. Football, eh? 🤷‍♂️

Preparation for tonight from my coaching staff was fantastic. Execution from my players, especially in the 1st half, was brilliant. Two disallowed Boars goals, one CC goal that should've been disallowed and one clear Boars penalty not given. Pure madness. Proud of my team. 🐗

Phil Ruggles Returns Ash United Football Club is pleased to confirm that, following very positive discussions this week, Phil Ruggles has returned to the club as First Team Manager. Those conversations focused on where the club is heading and how football operations can best support that journey. There is a shared understanding between Phil and the new Board around the importance of long-term planning, developing talent from within, and creating a clear identity that runs through all levels of the club. Chairman Andy Hunt believes that alignment was key to the decision. “From the outset, the discussions were open and constructive,” he said. “We weren’t just talking about the next few results, but about how Ash United continues to grow in a sustainable way. Phil understands the importance of building strong foundations, using the resources we already have, and ensuring there is a genuine pathway for players to progress.” Central to that approach is ensuring promising young players are given the opportunity to step into men’s football within a clear and supportive structure. For Phil, the clarity of the club’s direction played a major role in his return. “There’s a real sense of purpose about where the club wants to go,” he explained. “The focus on developing players and working to a shared vision across the club really stood out to me. That kind of alignment gives everyone the best chance to be successful.” Any updates regarding player movement will be communicated in due course, as plans are finalised in line with the club’s longer-term objectives. Attention now turns to this weekend’s fixture, with everyone at the club looking forward to getting back on the pitch and beginning the next chapter together. Phil will now work closely with the Board, staff, and players as the club looks to move forward together and build an exciting and sustainable future for Ash United.
