We're in an arms race for information flow and control. AI + automation + high speed networks = literal physical botnet. Skynet looks like its arriving soon. The constitution of the United States will become the only thing that can thwart the [AI] BS that's about to rain down on the globe. The question is how to maintain the rule of law when non-persons are empowered but not responsible for outcomes.

Why don’t they just build atmospheric water generators for the data centers? The data centers aren’t adding up- there’s something way bigger to this than we’re seeing. Initially I thought it was just surveillance but it’s more than that…

As a Boomer or Gen X'er, how many times have you started a response to a post and, in the middle of writing it, you realize you just don't care enough to finish responding to it?

Dear @apple, I don’t know what is going on with your damn keyboard, but I have NEVER in the 19 years of owning iPhones, had to backspace, retype, start over, correct words as much as I am now! And what happened to autocorrect!? Is that not a thing anymore? Please fix this!

Just shameful that the US is not sharing the burden in the greatest fight for freedom of our lifetimes. Canada is now a more consequential leader of the free world than the US. Hope this changes in the future.

Today, we announced $270 million of new military support to Ukraine. Ukraine’s fight is our fight. Their cause — freedom, democracy, sovereignty — is our cause. Good to see President @ZelenskyyUa today in Yerevan. 🇨🇦🇺🇦

4 years ago I launched a retail brand for Latter-day Saints 3 years ago I helped 4 LDS musicians launch their discographies online 2 years ago I launched a book publishing company Last year I helped a magazine startup launch their retail channel But sometimes the headwinds of being a startup make me feel pretty invisible In the chatter of being mad about DW or the Blaze, I’d like to have a conversation - a serious one - about about what it would take. If you want LDS content that isn’t backed by boardroom investors or evangelicals who loathe you, you ought to look around because we’re out here. I didn’t start this to cash out in my 30s. I’m investing in this in my 50s because I can. Because I want it to exist. Artists, musicians, writers, and designers wanted.

The War on Poverty didn’t conquer poverty, it entrenched it, fostering a permanent underclass through dependency and family breakdown. The Inflation Reduction Act did no such thing, it fueled more spending and inflationary pressure. The Patriot Act was anything but patriotic, erecting a vast, permanent surveillance state that eroded civil liberties in the name of security. Time and again, these grandly named “Acts” deliver the precise opposite of their promises. Government interventions routinely ignore second-order consequences, distorted incentives, unintended behaviors, and cascading failures, leaving us with more problems than we started with. Perhaps it’s time for Washington to step back from micromanaging the economy and people’s lives, before the unintended damage grows even worse.

Crazy that 70-80 year olds are generally seen as unemployable due to physical and mental decline. But we’re allowing them to run our entire country.

I want a truck with no GPS or tracking. I want a house that doesn't spy on me. I want a government that builds roads and maintains the military and stays out of my business. I want the constitution of the United States respected and upheld. I want the government to be the last thing I ever think about, just like the founders intended.

Grok sez: Throughout the Old Testament period, prophets contended with false teachers, idolaters, and those who claimed fidelity to the law while rejecting its fulfillment in Christ. Sherem’s flattery, power of speech “according to the power of the devil,” and ability to lead many away resemble the influence of false prophets condemned by Isaiah, Jeremiah, and others. His accusation of blasphemy against Jacob parallels charges leveled at true prophets who testified of the Messiah. The coming of Jesus Christ fulfills Jacob’s declarations: all prophets testified of Him, and His Atonement is essential. Rejection by many in Jerusalem, leading to crucifixion and the destruction/scattering of the Jews (A.D. 70 and beyond), echoes the Nephite-Lamanite divisions and ongoing “eternal hatred.” Sherem’s eventual confession and the outpouring of the Spirit on the multitude prefigure Pentecostal outpourings and individual conversions, such as Saul of Tarsus (later Paul), who zealously defended tradition before encountering the risen Christ. Post-Meridian Period: Apostasy, Restoration, and Gathering The long “wanderers… born in tribulation… hated of our brethren” phase typifies the scattering of Israel among the nations, including the Jewish diaspora and the lost tribes, marked by persecution, wars, and contentions. Sherem-like figures appear across history in movements that deny or diminish the need for a divine Redeemer, emphasize human reason or tradition alone, or flatter people with permissive doctrines—patterns seen in certain philosophical, religious, or secular ideologies that undermine faith in Christ. The Restoration of the gospel in the latter days, with its emphasis on continuing revelation, the Book of Mormon as another testament of Christ, and the gathering of Israel, aligns with the reaffirmation of “the doctrine of Christ” after Sherem’s defeat. Modern efforts to reclaim scattered Israel parallel the Nephites’ “many means… to reclaim… the Lamanites,” though often met with resistance. Approaching and Following the Second Coming Jacob’s narrative culminates in divine victory over deception and the faithful remnant’s trust in “the God and rock of their salvation,” despite mourning their days. This foreshadows end-time events: increased deception by anti-Christ figures or philosophies denying Christ’s divinity or future return; signs and divine interventions; widespread confession and acknowledgment of truth amid tribulation; and the ultimate gathering, peace, and millennial reign after the Second Coming. The Nephites’ lonesome, solemn perseverance as conquerors through faith mirrors the prophesied trials and triumphs of the faithful in the last days, leading to the earth’s renewal and the end of enmity. In this broad typological reading, Jacob 7 serves not merely as a discrete historical episode but as a microcosm of salvation history: bondage and deliverance, prophetic testimony versus denial, temporary victory of falsehood followed by its exposure, and the enduring covenant people sustained by Christ-centered faith until the full realization of God’s promises. This framework underscores the unchanging pattern of God’s dealings with humanity—inviting all to hearken to the prophets, search the scriptures, and rely on the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

What method tells us Jacob 7 will never be dismantled? Not confidence. Not testimony. Not institutional loyalty. Method. What historical, textual, archaeological, or linguistic standard would show the chapter is true rather than merely meaningful inside the tradition? Because if the claim is insulated from every possible external test, then “never dismantled” doesn’t mean proven. It means unfalsifiable. Unfalsifiable largely means, loyalty over truth / fact.

You’re playing the wrong game if you can’t see what Trump constructed while the Democratic Party conspired against him and placed Pres Autopen in power. Look no further than #laptopfromhell from @mirandadevine for a peek into what the chessboard was like prior to 47. This isn’t even one iota of difficult.

@ContraHeresy This is not a church produced film. This was a skit that some BYU students put together for their performing arts class final. They ended up getting funding to film it and sell it. It is at best described as inspirational fiction. It is not doctrinal.
