And big props to the marketing department for making this silly harem sci-fi adventure comedy sound like the coolest thing in the world.

Cartoon Network was so cool for even airing Tenchi Muyo. Probably the horniest anime on American TV up till that point. It's been 25 years, but I remember there was an entire beach episode where Ryoko was topless & all they did was MS paint a Bikini on her & change the dialogue.
