Been waiting 2 years for this issue to be resolved, but it finally is.
The @solana @Ledger app now supports offline message signing.
What does this mean?
You can link your ledger address to apps now without transacting on Solana. Can't be drained if you don't transact on-chain. 🧠
This is already how hot wallet message signing works, but previously most apps would force you to send a 0 value transaction to yourself from your hardware wallet to prove ownership.
But that's no longer necessary. And no more clunky 'Using ledger?' toggles.

ASCEND THE TIERS
As a reminder, to qualify your curated set as a Pod, your collection must include at least the 8 required species: Axio, Gobblejaw, Snarlfin, Diplox, Squib, Cat Slug, Lumiray, and Dodo. Adding a Rat to your set turns it into a Prime Pod.
Applicable Traits to combine: Color, Skin, Shape, & BG.
There are 10 tiers of Popkins Pods, with higher tiers being more difficult to collect. Tiers also scale up the allocated points per badge. More difficult combos mean more points.
• Tier 1 - All Species (no Rat)
• Tier 2 - All Species (no Rat), 1 Trait in Common
• Tier 3 - All Species (no Rat), 2 Traits in Common
• Tier 4 - All Species (no Rat), 3 Traits in Common
• Tier 5 - All Species (no Rat), 4 Traits in Common
• Tier 6 - All Species + Rat (Prime Pod)
• Tier 7 - All Species + Rat, 1 Traits in Common
• Tier 8 - All Species + Rat, 2 Traits in Common
• Tier 9 - All Species + Rat, 3 Traits in Common
• Tier 10 - All Species + Rat, 4 Traits in Common

Built for collecting, this one took me a while to find each piece: Nocturne, Aqua, Salmon trio popkin pod.
Like Clayno Herds, but with greater supply and easier entry, building combos is approachable and all about discovery. Once staking is live, these are modular staking units. They can also be combined for more points and achievements for a gamified collector's experience.
