@bramernic No, the Tories or the UK government were recipients of Russian gas before the war…Like most of Europe. They stopped trading with Russia when the war started. Labour will now go into the history books as Russian appeasers.

Hey all! So far Dad has done a whopping 138 miles walking in May to raise money for Parkinson’s UK to help people like my Mum. And at nearly 80, this is no small feat! Please continue to like/share and donate to this fantastic cause. Thanks so much 💖 events.parkinsons.org.uk/s/32441/54215/t

Mental health is as important as physical health. Nobody should have to explain themselves to anyone else. If you don’t understand that, it’s because you have no experience of it and for that, be grateful because one day you might have.

I can understand a minister or shadow minister suffering from burnout and consequently returning to the back benches. But a backbench MP? With no formal responsibility other than voting? What is it that time is being taken out from? What is it that there is a ‘leave of absence’ from? MPs aren’t employees. Is this just a letter to say no surgeries for a few weeks?

@bramernic Well, that influence is out in the open now. Using a Russian proxy (India) to buy Russian gas, is funding the war effort.

@bramernic Oh me too Mike, as if life isn’t hard enough for some. It doesn’t affect him or his dumb family, sneaky suspicion some of them have made money by insider trading. I’m on a fixed tariff until the end of the year, mightily glad I set that up.

Anyone else find this less than impressive? Struggling families aren’t going to be booking theme park visits or meals out & don’t get me started on the lack of any support for people without children or who’s children have flown the nest #UselessTwats bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@_Meliora_60 True, and I'm incandessent with rage at stupid Trump for causing this situation. If things haven't calmed down by summer I'm expecting some more measures, but at the moment actual usage is obviously at it's lowest.

@bramernic It might be a cut in expected levels but that’s not addressing the issue at the pumps now. Yes utility bills came down in Aprl but that all ends in June and they’re forecast to rise by £260 so those not on fixed tariffs will face a hike…

@_Meliora_60 Interesting. Not reversing a cut to fuel duty in September is akin to a cut in expected levels. Energy bills actually came down in April thanks to switching funding for some things to general taxation. Even fixed rates came down. They are trying to reduce the price of ...
