@ReedOmary @skohoro @trentrosenbloom My family also does not think much of fennel. I have been including it in homemade stock that I then use for various recipes. Apparently it is more palatable to the kids when it is in soup or stock...

Do post-Boomers actually read the supposedly great postwar novelists? It seems to me they've fallen out of favor. Lots of people read FS Fitzgerald, Hemmingway, Faulkner, but Norman Mailer or Saul Bellow? I don't hear much about that, tho black writers like Baldwin are still read
