Before we declare Hoover's adaptations bulletproof, note that "Reminders of Him" opened to $18.2 million, which is solid but not spectacular. "It Ends With Us" opened to $24 million in 2024. The trend is slightly downward, and the $10 million overseas suggests international appeal might be limited. Hoover's formula works domestically for now, but three movies in two years might be reaching saturation. The real test will be "Verity" in October. If that one softens, the bubble might be deflating.
