The new TurboBoost Suite monorepo is coming along. Will make management and maintenance so much simpler. Should have done this sooner. It also sports helpful Rake tasks for suite management. 🤌

Woot! Elixir v1.17 is out, bringing you the first warnings and type checking based on our on-going work to perform type inference from patterns (and soon guards). A lot more to come, hopefully: elixir-lang.org/blog/2024/06/1…

You can't please everyone No matter how hard you try Someone will not like you or what you do Don't waste time worrying about who doesn't like you Instead nurture the relationships with the people who do like you

We made a post asking for video editors and had over 1200 people apply… We asked them to all edit the same clip to see who was good. 60 of them did it. Thats 5%. People are looking for the secret but won’t even show up. What they fail to see is showing up is the secret.

@zacmcc Are you saying that I shouldn’t use “bar” in the test data for my new bartending app 😉

One thing I never understand is why developers sell their work short with bogus test/demo data. I cringe every time I see “foo” or “bar” or lorem ipsum in any demo or test data, even if it’s early prototype. Why not spend a little bit of time making something more real? Kill all bogus data!

@hopsoft It’s crazy. I never buy the Apple brand bands. Amazon has good bands for $10-$15 with same or next day delivery

How does Apple justify their watch band prices at $49-$349 when you can buy 3rd party bands that are as good or better for $9-$299 with tons more optionality?
